bhensonb (4187), Woodland, California, USA Oct 7, 2007 500 ml. brown bottle from Bottle Barn. Smells pilsnerish with a hint of smoke! A floral or herb note that’s difficult to place. Almost dusty. Gold color with a white head that left rapidly. Medium body with a crisp carbonation. Arguably this has a light peat or smoke component. Otherwise the malt is sort of bready. It’s not really bitter, so the hop must be grassy or floral. The finish is fairly dry and only very lightly bitter. After awhile the bitterness builds up to typical pilsner levels (ok, it’s not a Pilsner, but...) dwyerpg (2519), Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Apr 20, 2006 My gf likes this much more than me.Very bad pee-yeallow appearance with a porous head, but it smells nice. Taste is somewhere in the middle at first, but finishes off with an old taste. Mostly, this has the potential to die quickly, which it does. bb (2905), Martinez, California, USA Apr 15, 2006 Bottle. Pale yellow golden beer with a thin white head. Low malt aroma. Vready flavor with some floral hops in the background. Very bready. Easy drinking. Nothing outstanding. frankenkitty (1900), Oak Lawn, Illinois, USA Jan 29, 2006 A few streams of carbonation picked up the appearance of this otherwise plain-golden brew with a marshmallow-fluff head. Initial aromas were a perfect rendition of pink "Pal" bubblegum over grassy hops which was unexpectedly pleasant. Later we simply find the familiar aromas of European hopping. Flavor finds graininess with a tingly, bitter finish. Malts add very little sweetness to pick this beer up from average, but at times it does show a pastry-like flavor. Another beer where I braced for the worst but was left somewhat impressed.

RAYBOY01 (1813), Chicago, Illinois, USA Dec 21, 2005 Decent enough pale lager with a strong bread dough aroma and flavor profile. Breadlike yeastiness and a slightly sour/tart flavor. Mild hop bite in the finish...could have been a little more pronounced for my liking. Palate was a bit thin, though. Cornfield (4892), Oak Forest, Illinois, USA Dec 2, 2005 My second "Add A Brewer," my second Bulgarian beer, the first one to rate this one - - - What a great day! And this lager is actually drinkable. It pours a hazy yellow color with a MASSIVE creamy head that recedes in chunks. The aroma is of fresh bread with a grassy hop bitterness and just a hint of the skunk peculiar to so many eastern European beers. Fortunately that goes no further. The mouthfeel is somewhat thin and a bit oily. The flavor is a light, bready malt with a hint of hops that carries more strongly into the pleasant (if light) bitter finish.
