Bottled, 500ml from Lindisfarne Meadery, Holy Island, Northumberland. Gold with white head. Malty, slightly caramel, thinnish beer with a degree of floweriness, perfume, maybe honeysuckle. A little uninteresting after a while. Vaguely disappointing.

4.5% amber colour with a thin head, smells and tastes more like a bitter but a bit sweet for that, certainly not an IPA, although it was quite nice.

Clear medium yellow colour with a small average, frothy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, grain, toasted, light to moderate hoppy, leather notes. Bottle. It’s a clear, golden beer topped by a small, dense, off-white head. It’s lightly spiced on the nose, with a good dash of dried orange peel. Not much maltyness. The flavor too is rather orangey, with a little maltyness in the back. Lacking on bitterness I think. Medium body, with a nice level of carbonation, although not a very British level. Orangey and lighlty bitter finish. A beer I like, but it’s a bit boring. Drinks easily though. 111105
