On tap @ Alpha Brewing. Clear golden beer with a white head. Corn and grain husk up front on the nose with a lot of cereal sweetness and a hint of butter. Slightly grassy, too. Flavor is sweet and buttery with a mild grassy hop bitterness. Some watermelon rind, grain husk, and sweet cereal. Meh.

Sampled at Alpha Brewing during RBSG. Pours a golden color with white head. Grainy, earthy, bitter flavors.

Taster on tap at the brewery. Perfectly golden color. Thin off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Smooth, kind of soft, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Light to medium body. Bready, kind of corn-like malt. Drinks like a cream ale. Moderate sweet, little bitter. Lightly dry finish. Ok kind of cream-corn blond ale. Not much to it, but solid overall.

Sampled at the brewpub. It poured a blond color with a white head. The aroma was of citrus, malts and a bit of hops. The taste was much the same. This was basically a pretty forgettable session beer, but it was certainly not bad in being that.

What can I say - it is exactly why it purports to be - a refreshing gateway beer. Not bad ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
