Our namesake ale represents everything a good, well balanced pale ale should be: malty but not to sweet, refreshing but not too bitter, full-bodied but not too heavy, lively but not over carbonated. A clean, everyday beer that leaves your palate begging for more. 1.054 OG 32 IBU 5.5%ABV

It does meet all of the check marks of the description of it here on ratebeer. But I donít really like it. But to be fair that would be a lot of pale ales like it. The malts and earthiness I guess. And shouldnít have it next to a big juicy double IPA. Draft at uncle mikes. Dank fruit and a little sweet. Fine for the style overall

UPDATED: APR 7, 2016 New rating 4/16 - at mad mex atwood. Pale yellow, mild perfumy ipa aroma. Yes, quite mild and fairly sweet fer sure, but not in a cloying way, more like ice cider sweetness. Finally a beer that is not trying to be aan IPA and I like that attitude, just a well amde APA fer sure, nice job alpine. Not sure how the previous version I had at brixton was so different. OLD: Finally got to try this. At brixton. Clear pale yellow. Not much aroma. Does have a medium high bitter content. Builds. Begins to border on ipa. Just plain old American style ale, heheh, with all the typical ale attributes, none are overdone.

On Draught!
Pours a pale gold color with a good head and good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is very mild, but itís got some pleasant orange and varied citrus aromas, itís a little bit malty & really quite clean smelling

The flavor has a nice citrusy & melon hop thing happening. The beer has a moderate level of bitterness, the malt character is light but works well here for balance as well as complexity. Itís got a medium dry flavor, which is cool.

The whole thing is real mild, and thatís perfectly fine.
