3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20 Suttree (3921) - Knoxville, USA - FEB 23, 2008
Trade with fordest - thanks! Almost clear orangey yellow, with a decent foamy white head. Crisp but faint aroma of toast and mellow peppery hops. Flavor is a bit bready at first, then a peppery, hoppy finish. The only problem was a faint cardboard flavor as it warmed. Otherwise, a really nice session APA.

22oz bottle courtesy of DarthKostritzer. Cheers, Cory! Pours a clear yellow with orange highlights and a white head. Nose is orange, some light malt, and some piney hops. Flavor is similar- light malt, some light orange and a white grapefruit hop presence that lingers into the finish. Light to medium in body for the style, and nice overall.

Draft at the brewpub.
Pours a clear golden yellow color with a 1.5 finger white foam head. Good retention, slow fading into a lasting ring. Soapy lacing costs the glass.
Light floral hop aroma with subtle citrus and sweet malt. Kind of average with delicate hops and biscuity malt.
Medium bodied with a nice balance of fresh spicy hops and pale malts. Delicate floral hops with hints of biscuit, bread and graham cracker. Nothing extraordinary but it’s a good sessionable beer.
3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20 hoosiers1994 (665) - Maryland, USA - MAR 8, 2012
Bottle pours dark golden with a disappearing white head. Aromas are grain and grass. Tastes are grass and hay with some lingering mid bitterness. Body is light and carbonation is livey. Overall, an ok PA, but not the best from this great brewer.

A - Pours a clear golden-orange with a finger of frothy white head atop. The head fades down at a normal pace leaving behind some good lacing.
S - The aroma is a mix of sweet caramel malts with citrus hops with some grapefruit. There is a bit of floral and grassy hop smells as well.
T - Starts off with some sweet caramel malts with some grapefruit and orange peel hops and a bit of bitterness. Through the middle, more bitterness comes through with some grassy hops. The finish is a mix of sweet caramel, orange peel, and bitterness.
M - Medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Smooth with a nice dry and lightly bitter finish.
D - Very drinkable. Very nice pale ale with a great balance of sweet malt and hops. Very sessionable.

Clear light golden amber with a big quickly fading white head that leaves spider web like lacing... more malty than hoppy aroma, though not that sweet, but lightly sweet, lightly creamy aroma, faint spicy hops behind the light pale malt aroma... decently carbonated, pale malty, lightly sweet easy drinking, lightly bitter, doesnt finish dry at all, though it isnt oily.. i love how in the description they allude to how mild this beer actually is... i am certainly begging for a bit more flavor... Decent light pale ale, just the aroma and the taste are very subdued compared to what i would expect...

On tap at the brewery with the bros for dallas’ bachelor party. Biscuity and caramel in the aroma... Faint but present, a bit lagery in the aroma. Medium driness, still Biscuity but not my thing.

Had this thanks to hamilton23. 22 oz bottle poured into into a pint glass revealed a light amber and a three-finger white head which settled to one-finger. The lacing was obvious and lasted throughout. Nose was a hint of orange and lemon with notes of bread malts. Taste was clean and light with elements of hops, orange, lemongrass, some biscuity malt and buttery sweetness. The finish included a mild but pleasing bitterness. The mouthfeel was light, smooth with moderate carbonation. This was a very refreshing brew and, I think, a wonderful interpretation of the style. A summer afternoon is a perfect excuse to try one!
