COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our namesake ale represents everything a good, well balanced pale ale should be: malty but not to sweet, refreshing but not too bitter, full-bodied but not too heavy, lively but not over carbonated. A clean, everyday beer that leaves your palate begging for more. 1.054 OG 32 IBU 5.5%ABV

Bottle @ Avery, shared by Steve_0. Thanks so much! Pours a golden orange appearance with an off white head. Fairly herbal, a bit woody, grassy, slightly spicy aroma. Mild citrusy, chewy herbal, light veggie, slightly toasty malty, straw flavor. Quite a disappointment.

Bottle at the Avery Barrel Release. Pour is clear golden in appearance with a fluffy white head and great lacing. Grassy, straw, biscuit, a touch of citrus, and wet dog in the aroma. Taste easy drinking, grassy, biscuit, straw, light weed, and dough with a light bitter finish. Light body with high carbonation. Really kind-of meh.

clear gold color. Crisp malt aroma with a touch of hops. Very light and refreshing. Excellently character for a pale ale with a nice hop undertone and finishing bitterness. I’m a big fan.

Draft @ the brewery. Pours a golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty weak citrus hoppy aroma. Fruity malty hoppy citrus flavor. Has a fruity malty citrus hoppy finish.

Pours a clear light golden with a nearly pure white, quickly dissipating head. A nose comprised of notes of banana and green grape. Lagerish and pilsnery, if you will. Mouthfeel is certainly more full-bodied for a pilsner style lager. A little carbonation burn at the finish. this is a Candaian lager in full on collision with a Czech pilsner--on steroids. Not in my wheelhouse, but respectable.

Nice, golden pour. A light, even, well balanced ale, with malty flavors coming to the front. Very drinkable, this would make a good session beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Type: Draft Glass: 12-oz. pint glass From: Alpine Beer Company in Alpine, Calif. Price: $4.50 (I think) Misc.: Had on Jan. 5, 2013 Poured a golden clearer color with 1-2 fingers (when I got it) of white head. Pretty good lacing on the sides and nice retention on the top all the way down. Smelled pale malts, butter, honey, lemon grass and some bread. Tasted similar to the smell. Butter, honey, lemon and grassy. Some light pine notes, but as citrusy as I would have thought. Light body. Thin texture. Average carbonation. Slightly bitter finish. A decent pale ale overall. Considering I was drinking most of it in the cold darkness in the back patio, these ratings could change if I tried it again.

A touch of diacetyl in my sample, but didn’t detract from this big, fruity Pale. Lots of hop action, perhaps a little unbalanced, but quenching and highly drinkable.
