Pour from the tap at the pub. Gold in color with a slight copper look. The nose gives you a bit of wild yeast funk. Tart apple fruit flavors. Kind of thin in your mouth. Some acetic sourness as well. Not too bad.
3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20 SDalkoholic (1536) - Chula Vista, California, USA - NOV 19, 2011
Bottle acquired from the infamous South Bay Drugs. Viewed as a strawberry wine cooler color of pink with a fizzy layer of foam. Actually the entire brew is a wild and fizzy form of carbonation and bubbles. The nose was confused and debated whether the scent of fruit or malt and alcohol dominated more over the other but regardless an interesting aroma. Upon the first sip, I partially quivered because of tart the initial first taste was, although, further in the drink I became comfortable with the sourness and also became aware of how excited the carbonation levels were. Flavors range from a mixture of elements such as unripe partly green strawberry, stiff freshly picked red cherry, and a minor background of wine. No sign of the wood barrels involved but the wine was apparent and also tasted similar to a wine cooler beverage to some degree.

Tap at the brew pub. Pours a clear straw yellow with zero head or carbonation. Nose holds lots of citrus, lemon dominant, with some dry oak in there as well. Light tartness in the finish. Not quite what i was hoping for but still tasty.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20 ajm (1057) - Los Angeles, California, USA - MAY 2, 2010
Bottle shared by... cquiroga? iowaherkeye? Regardless, it was tight. Color is fairly close to a legit lambic. Nose is that real nasty Ballast Point Hout Geueze scent of mustard, sweat, onion, tart yeast and acid. Flavor is much the same, but nicely aged with a subtle bright tart cherry character. Really good, IMO.

Bottle graciously shared by iowaherkeye. Very high fill line. Pours with a flat body and a hazy gold hue. Minimal head. Aroma is sour, lemon, fruity, pineapple and acidic. Taste is acidic (stomach acid), lemon, fruit, funk. Still body, with minimal carbonation. Still enjoyable, and reminiscent of Doesjel.
