COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Captain is leader of a fire crew. This beer takes charge of your taste buds with its rich flavor. Roasty malt character that has hints of chocolate and coffee which balances the smooth, velvety finish. The thick, creamy head lasts and lasts, leaving lace in your glass as your beer disappears. This beer pairs well with food. Great with dinner or as breakfast or even with a rich vanilla-bean ice cream.

(Bottle) Pours black with dark mahogany brown hints. Large nougat coloured head. The aroma holds dark bread, chocolate, coffee, caramel, roasted oat cookies, yeast, backing powder, earthy hops, vanilla and hints of apple tobacco. The flavour is light sweet, light bitter and light acidic with notes of roast, toast, earthy/herbal hops, backing powder, yeast and vanilla. The mouthfeel is round and soft with a fizzy, medium to full carbonation. Baking powder, toasted cookies, herbal tea and a tiny sting of citrus on the finish. Near medium bodied.

Bomber courtesy of Marsiblursi. Pours very dark brown with a huge frothy brownish beige head that slowly dissipates while leaving some trace on the glass. Smell is slightly sweet, slightly sour, floral and tiny funky with dark bread, lemon juice, roasted malts, grape juice, wood, cocoa powder, lemon zest, baking soda, grass and hints of burnt caramel. Taste is sweet, bitter, tiny sour and malty with sweet dark bread, wood, oatmeal cookies, caramel, lemon zest, liquorice fudge, coffee, resin, vanilla and orange zest. Mouthfeel is crisp, tiny round, aggressively carbonated and medium bodied. Finish is sweet and bitter with dark bread, coffee, chocolate, brown sugar, toffee and lemon zest. A bit strange.

22oz of a butter BOMB. Poured a medium density dark black body with a smaller foamy beige head. Aroma of buttery chocolate, milk and some dark toast. The flavor is dominated by butter with underlying chocolate. This was a total drain pour, it was actually do bad I opened up another bottle to rate just so we wouldn’t end a rating session on this abomination.
