COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The Captain is leader of a fire crew. This beer takes charge of your taste buds with its rich flavor. Roasty malt character that has hints of chocolate and coffee which balances the smooth, velvety finish. The thick, creamy head lasts and lasts, leaving lace in your glass as your beer disappears. This beer pairs well with food. Great with dinner or as breakfast or even with a rich vanilla-bean ice cream.

Overall a pretty good regular stout with nice roasty chocolatey flavors that finishes dry and lightly hoppy. Very nice creamy palate for a regular stout. Good beer.

With Z, pours dark blackish brown pour with a ephemeral Java head. Nose is black licorice and dark molasses ! Taste is malt, chocolate , and an " off " taste, since this bomber has been sitting for awhile . Finishes on the same tasting notes. Quaff Score 6 / 10

Very rich and complex for a 6 percent stout. Big pillowy brown head sits atop a black liquid base. The taste is over the top bitter roasted chestnuts with a bit of blackened barley. I had this for breakfast and paired it with English muffins topped with blueberry jam. Very nice.

Pitch black color. Light brown head. Molasses, dark fruit, roasted malt in the nose. Thin mouth lots of dark fruit, roasted malts, molasses with a very smooth body, probably good on nitro. Lacking roastiness. Nice without being outstanding

Poured a darker brown with a beige head. Aroma was of roasted malt and some dark chocolate. Flavor similar, pretty standard stout, nothing too exciting.
