Nose is filled with yeast and light cherry tone. The flavor has again a lot of yeast and oaky, giving a tart, lightly sugary, but very dry and acidic aftertaste.
Really couldn’t get over the vinagry acidic taste. Overpriced.

Aug 17, 2008 bottle thanks to jimbowood. amber pinkish pour with a no real head. great sour/tartness on the nose along with cherries and brett. wow, what a flavor, cherries with a great sour note and a smooth woody finish. very impressive.

Aug 16, 2008 Bottle. reddish color with just a little whitish lacing. Dusty, cherry aroma. Tart, cherry flavor with backing lemon, green apple, and oak. Medium body. Tart/sour lingers with the fruitiness in balance. Acetic in background. Refreshing. Not bad.

Aug 14, 2008 Many thanks to spacecyote for this treat. Cherry and brett funk in the aroma. A sweet body with a very tart flavor for an american sour. A beautiful red color with a faint cloudiness. One of the best American sours I’ve had on par with offerings from the Lost Abbey and Russian river. Alpine continues to impress as one of the best breweries I’ve ever tried.

Aug 13, 2008 750ml bottle. Poured a medium orangish (with a pink tint) color with a small sized off white head. Aromas of cherry pie, some wood, vanilla, musty,and a trace of red wine. Tastes of cherries, wood, caramel, and bretty. Started lightly sweet and finishes tart.

Aug 13, 2008 Poured a pinkish amber color with a small, off white head that left light lacing on the glass. Aroma of brett, cherries, leather, musty cellar, cinnamon, pie crust, and vanilla oak. Taste of sweeter cherries up front, light sourness, toffee malts, brett, lactic acid, vinegar, and balanced by the sweetness from the malts and cherries. Thanks to Steve for this one!
