Bottle from St Albans beer shop, St Albans, Herts. A golden/amber coloured pour with a medium white head on top. Hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, grapefruit, pine on the nose. Tastes pretty much the same, hoppy, citrus, tropical fruit, grapefruit, pine. Pleasant lingering bitterness and slightly dry. Pretty good IPA from Alpine.

Clear golden with a white sudsy head and good lacing. Resinous and somewhat dank with tangerine and mango. Herbal notes with a smooth grassy bitterness that grows the more you drink. Finishes dry and bitter. Well made and drinkable.

On tap at 12th Street Tap House in Nashville. It poured a mostly clear golden orange colour with slight chill haze, sudsy white head of spritzy little bubbles. Hops were lower in the aroma, but fuller in flavour. Nice crisp grainbill, hint of caramel sweetness, but the focus here is definitely on the hops. Orange, grapefruit, musk, pine resin, ganja. Very light body, thin mouthfeel, high carbonation, some alcoholic heat, long-lasting resiny/juicyfruit aftertaste before it finishes dry. Good not great.

Bottle. Aroma of orange, lemon peel, blood orange, breadiness. Pours a slightly hazy golden with a one finger white head. Taste is medium bitter and light to medium sweet. Lots of orange peel and lemon peel coming through.Has a slightly bready beginning. Medium body, average to soft carbonation, very drinkable and a pleasant bitter orangy grapefruity finish. This was pretty good. I imagine how good it once was when brewed at Alpine.

12 fl oz bottle at home in Richmond as ’Alpine Beer Company Duet’, 7.0%, BB Dec 2016. "Drink Alpine beer or go to bed!" strapline. Translucent amber, lightly sparkling, foamy cream head, thick lacing. Aroma is dried mint leaves, leaves in general, touch of fudge, pine, touch farty / musty. Body is fairly light, tingly carbonation, bit frothy. Taste is tangy pine up front, grapefruit, dusty and dry, white sugar, crisp and clean in the finish with a breathy linger. Pretty decent IPA - not as fruity as I like ’em but very hoppy indeed.

Clear light amber. Probably because of the storage, it doesn’t smell that hoppy. Taste is good, can both tell the bitterness from hops and the sweetness from malt. It’s just like a duet, well a duet of papageno and papageno, complex but nice.

Clear light amber with a one-finger off-white head that retained well and left thick rings of lace. Aromas of pine, herb, bread, hay, maybe a touch of earth. Medium bitterness up front offset quickly by a light malt sweetness. Flavors reminiscent of pine, toast, grapefruit, citrus rind. Medium to full body, moderate effervescence, superb creamy mouthfeel and a crisp bitter finish.
