4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 30, 2013 Bottle: hazy orange with goldenrod highlights; cloudy, white head settles nicely and perches on top of the brew, chunky and fat, leaving behind some nice clumps of lacing. Big contributions from both hops in the aroma; nectarine, mango, pineapple, and citrus from the Amarillo, and more wet, dank, pungent pines from the Simcoe. A great, citrusy, oily hemp jungle. Taste follows right along; pine, mango, orange, peach, dank hop oils, papaya, leaves... Nice brash and bitter finish. Only malt is lightly toasted bread and very faint caramel that never gets too sweet. Great backbone. Awesome showcase of hops, here. I like Nelson a little better, but this is a fantastic IPA.

4.8 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 19/20
Pours clear gold with a medium white head. aroma has awesome fresh, leafy hoppiness...grassy spice, melon, pear, and stonefruits...glorious. flavor is damn near hop perfection...grapefruit spice, light earthy bitterness, pear, stonefruits, melon...just the perfect amount of pale malt peeking through. Mouthfeel is medium and silky with a dry, grapefruity/rindy fresh hoppy finish. wow!! this beer is insane!

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: SEP 20, 2013 Hoppy deliciousness in my face. Creamy, silky, delicately balanced hop profile defies its Simcoe & Amarillo roots. More East coast than expected; I’ve never liked this so much before, and I was pleasantly surprised. Need more!

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a somewhat dark orange with a perfectly distributed dense white head that dissipates quickly. The aroma starts off with rather earthy, but turns into a scents of grapefruit/orange zest. There are some definite hints of pine and maybe even a slight hint of tropical fruits. Rather juicy.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
S: Lots of fruits on this one, I get mango, pineapple, a hint of grapefruit, some oranges and honey malt. P: A very nice copper look with a thin white head. T: Fruits again, freakin mango, peaches, pineapples, and a hint of bitter grapefruit with almost no malt detected. M: Light, semi-bitterness and finishes lightly crispy with some stickiness. O: I almost forgot how good Alpine is since I havent had anything from them in a while. This is just a softy, fruity hoppy beer.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Draft - Mango, tropical fruits and a bit perfumy. Clear gold with a thin white head. Huge hit of bitterness to start, orange peel and grapefruit finish. A very refreshing but aggressive IPA that finishes relative clean.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle [22oz] c/o Glouglouburp. Pours a hazy gold with a large semi-lasting fluffy off-white head. Nice hoppy aroma, citrusy, floral, fruity, grassy and more. Flavours the same, nice and hoppy, with a long moderate bitter finish. Medium bodied. I don’t have much to say about it but I do really enjoy it.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at the brewpub earlier this month. I love Amarillo, but I really dislike Simcoe used in this way. Unfortunately, I just find this be a cat pee bomb. Flint, papaya seeds, and old cat urine. Especially in the aroma and up front on the palate. The body is nice and the finish is clean and piney, but I can’t get past the white pepper, old cat blanket, and mushroom dust qualities that are just oozing out Simcoe in this beer.
