4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
For $8 per 22 oz bottle, plus tax, I think I can expect nectar of heaven, and though this comes close, it is not quite there.
Nice IPA, great nose, and good hop flavor. Too hard to find. If they sold this for $5.50/22 oz bottle, I’d be all over it like white on rice, but Pliny (proportional price in a 22 oz bottle) can be purchased for the equivalent of $6.87, and this is not so good as to be worth another $1.13/bottle.
It’s good, but it is not Pliny.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Picked this up at Lone Hill in Glendora?? or east of LA. This is a great beer, not to be a rude rude in any way but this is a simple IPA, but very well made. These guys have the over the top DIPA’s, but it’s great when they can bring it back to the basics and make a solid West Coast IPA that you can drink for days. This may be one of the most balanced IPA’s i’ve had in the last few years, nothing over the tops on hops, nothing to boozy at 6+%. very highly recommended.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Cloudy orange with a medium off white head. Aroma hat cat piss, plenty of hops and pine. Flavour had plenty of simcoe, grapefruit, pine and pale malt. Dry and bitter though quite fruity.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pours a nice transparent orange to brown with a sticky white head. Aroma is citrus, grapefruit, some floral notes, malt and grass. Flavors of grass, citrus, pine, malt, medium amount of bitterness with lots of grass and a touch of pine and grapefruit finish it off. Really nice big, but not too big IPA.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle courtesy of Secret Santa Summer 2010. Dark golden-amber color with a moderate sized head. Decent lacing. Ahh, that west coast IPA aroma.... hefty pine hops, citrus, herbs, flowers, honeyish malts, and a couple squeezes of lemon. Yum, lots of juicy hop flavors here that follow the aroma. Citrus and grapefruit hops with pine following. Sharp bitterness. A light sweet caramel malty body underneath all the hoppy goodness. An herbal tea character compliments well. This has everything I look for in a top notch IPA. Impressive.

clear to cloudy yellow, smooth large but fluffy offwhite head.
nice hoppy aroma, floral, citrussy, spicy.
very dry flavor initially, then comes some floral and spicy hops, with a sweet malt base. pretty solid beer, but something with the hops that i don’t really like that much.

Bottled. Golden coloured. Unclear. Huge off white head. Very lively pour. Pine, grape, flowers and some spice in the aroma. Flavour of pine, grape, flowers, herbs and spice. Medium to full bodied. Very bitter end. Quite balanced and well made. Thx to Snojerk321.

3.9 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of madsberg. Pours golden with a very lively and frothy white head. Amazing hop aroma - loads of citrus and peach. Solid body, very sweet malts and fruit and again an amazing array of exotic hop flavous - yet the bitterness is rather subdued. A very pleasant IPA. 090710

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bomber. This was the tastiest California IPA I’d had yet (beat the Yule Smith in my mind). Tons of bitter hops make this one really refreshing. Caramel malts take a backseat, which is exactly what I was looking for. Nice and piney.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: NOV 11, 2014 Bottle It pours a golden butterscotch color. The nose is dominated by eucalyptus. The taste is a smooth blend of two hops with just enough malt to balance everything out. It introduces itself with a dash of hops (not the piney resin explosion I expected from a San Diego IPA) but a mellow kinda 70’s Coors rush. It finishes a bit skunky with a hint of bitterness..
Re-rate - On tap at the brewery. Grapefruit hops dominate.
