4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: JUN 10, 2015 Tried this at the bottle share that sprung up at the Swamp Head Bottle Drop. Pours light yellowish gold with a fluffy white head on top. Aroma of huge pineapple, grapefruit, other citrus notes, lemon peel, sweet honey from the malts. Awesome. The flavor is even better. Huge pineapple sweetness up front followed by bitter pine and grapefruit, some grass, and big lingering citrus notes throughout the palate. Super light bodied, easy going, and medium plus carbonation. I wish I could have this every day.
Still a nice beer, but I swear this is substantially different since GF has taken over. Maybe I’m crazy, but just isn’t what I had the first couple times. Still a good brew.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Clear golden yellow in color, slightly herbal nose with notes of citrus hops. Flavor has a very smooth peppery mouthfeel with fairly dry spicey hops on the finish. Really enjoyable but I like Nelson better

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bottle, shared by a local louisvillian beer enthusiast. Mostly clear golden orange color. Some fine particles in the body. Nice thin finger of off-white head. Leaves good, thicker lace. Awesome hoppy nose. Great, big grassiness, grapefruit citrus, some passion fruit. Bigger body. Smooth, crisp, lighter carbonation. More dry finish. Moderate to bigger bitter taste. Good zest. Fantastic DIPA. So tasty. Not as much bite as expected (didn’t realize this was a single IPA when rating]. So much chewy resiny hop aftertaste... Nice grapefruit. Delicious stuff. Such an enjoyable one to sip slowly on a beautiful spring afternoon in Louisville...

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Ale Alpharetta. The one thing that I can say about this is smooth and approachable. Without being over zealous with the bitterness, the juicy hops of mango, orange and grapefruit, pine are all over. Smooth, clean malt backing. Really, really good IPA.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
22 oz bottle shared by Trey at Ale Alpharetta. Pours a clear, bubbly gold color, with a small, off-white, almost grayish, bubbly head. The aroma is bright citrus (tangerines or lemons, perhaps?), white grapes, and wheat. Light and approachable flavor. Very well balanced, with significant bitterness, and light malt sweetness, but neither is very assertive. Light body, crisp, clean, and lightly effervescent. Overall, this is an excellent, sessionable IPA! The aroma jumps out and gets your attention, but it is dangerously light, and almost effortless to drink.

4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
22oz bottle thanks to Chris for sharing. pours out a golden/copper topped with a white head. Nose is great lots of floral, citrus hops along with some sweetness. Taste is as the nose with a great hop mix and a nice balance of malts. This was another great Alpine beer.

2.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 8/20
A- Pours a sunset orange hue with a thick, frothy 2 finger head. A perfect example of the style.
S- Smells grapefruity, citrus, earthy notes with buttery diacteyl undertones.
T- Very buttery, possibly infected. Citrus and light fruits break through but can’t make up for the butter.
M- Medium carbonation, medium viscosity.
D- It was a great beer to look at but the buttery notes ruined it. I’d be willing to rerate to see if it was a bad bottle.

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Bottle thanks to lukasz. Nose is full of pine and dankiness. Kind of earthy nose too. Pours a fairly clear light yellow. Small white head. Taste is full of hop flavor that is almost tropical. Slightly piney flavors. Very smooth. A light crisp grainy malt profile. This is just way too drinkable. Now I like Amarillo again.
