Wonderful stuff. Lots of pine and big citrus. Pours golden with good head. Bitter finish. Grass and decent sweetened malt backbone. Great to see this stuff here in DC area. Tap at Galaxy Hut.

UPDATED: OCT 7, 2015 Draft pour pint at Special Brews. Pours a clear bright golden color with a fizzy head. I was a little surprised to see how highly rated the IPA’s from these guys are, but after trying them, I can see why. This one has an explosion of sweet juicy grapefruit aroma. Very nice hoppy citrus flavor, with a juicy fruit finish. Damn, this stuff is good. Loved it.. Update: Draft pour pint at the collective Still the same great stuff. Love the tropical fruit character here. A little sweeter than I remember. One positive and one less.than note here. Score remains.

Pours an amber color with a thick foam head that dissipates and laces my glass. The aroma is of pine, floral hops, citrus, grassy, and had a good malt presence. The flavor is of booze, crisp semi sweet malts, it has a medium bitterness that lingers, and some earthy herbal flavor too. Overall a good IPA, glad to have enjoyed it.

a Full 10 or so ounce pour at Rustico - Alexandria. Poured a clear, translucent, still light yellow color with a medium sized, compact white head. Aroma was very nice pine, floral hops and a lot of juicy citrus notes. Flavor had a lot of pine resin, floral notes. I like how it wasn’t some overblown double IPA that is hard to drink a lot of because of a strong boozy character. This is very thirst quenching and delicious. I was really impressed at how pleasant this beer was, and how easy it was to drink. That often is a sign of a really, really well crafted beer for me.

Amber. Nose of piney grapefruit and fruity malt. Flavor is a great balance of dry pine, mild grapefruit, and slightly fruity caramel malt. All leaning bitter and mildly dry, yet balanced. A hint of tropical fruit.

Love visiting SD. This IPA is the bomb. Very fresh pine and grassy hops. Flavor with light malts and big bitter fresh hops. Such a great experience.

On tap @ Chuck’s 85th. Pours bright orangish copper with thin lacy white head. Aroma is light sweet caramel malt and huge floral, grassy, herbaceous hops; with light citrus notes on the back. Taste is clean, crisp malt which is nice but stands back and let’s the hops shine. Hops are piney, grassy, medium citrus notes with a punchy bitter finish that lingers slightly through the finish. Pretty delicious IPA.

On draft at Mission Cheese in San Francisco. Tulip glass almost glows orange. Beautiful. Super hoppy nose, pretty floral. Packs a punch of hoppy goodness. Awesome balance. Super tasty, I’ll be on the lookout for this one again.

Draft at sb. Pours a cloudy burnished medium amber with a very slim and scant wispy white head. Minimal lace. Bright orangey nose, pith and peel notes, also showing some grapefruit. Not as juicy or as distinct as i might have thought, given the rep of the beer. Creamy medium body with lively carb. Toasty caramel with oranges and grapefruit on the mid palate. Not quite the crystal clear flavor profile or dynamic beer that suggests a masterpiece, but very nice for sure. Mild finish.
