Alluring citrus pine aroma in a golden amber pour. Hop forward balance with light fruity body and sustained bitter finish. An excellent example of the style (West Coast IPA) that totally hides its (not inconsiderable) strength.

Best by date of 16 Aug 16. This was poured into a becher pint glass. The appearance was a hazy semi-burnt slightly transparent copper color. Messy lacing weaves around the glass. The smell had a sweet to bitter blend of dried citrus, dried floral, dried bitter pine with an ever so slight touch of caramel malts. The taste was basically the same with a nice slick bitter piney aftertaste and finish. On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a fairly decent sessionability about it. Carbonation hits well enough as an AIPA, with an ample amount of bitter harshness sticking to my tongue. Overall, aha, I found the good Alpine beer. As I didn’t care for Pure Hoppiness, this is the great one by them and I would definitely have this again.

This one was just ok for me. Prefer their pure hoppiness or Nelson. Pretty earthy IPA with not as much citrus punch. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Poured from a bottle. Cloudy orange with sediment. Fresh citrus aroma but too tart for my taste.

Poured from a bottle. Clear copper color, medium white head. Nice floral hops aroma. Medium body with a decent floral hops flavor and a medium finish. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

A great hop aroma of resins and floral hops. Pours an amber color with a short lasting head. The taste disappoints, it is very resinous with just a hint of hops and caramel. Medium body with a resinous caramel finish.

Bottle @ RBBWG 2016. Many thanks! Golden colour, white foam. Nose of citrus and pineapple. Juicy and sweet. Bitter hoppy finish. Very well balanced. Lovely IPA.

12 oz bottle. Pours golden with tall, long lasting, fluffy white head, nice lacing and lively carbonation. Aroma is of citrusy hops, ripe fruit and bready malt. Body is medium and slightly crisp. Herbal hops, bready malt and ripe fruit fill the mouth. Finish is long and dry. Great IPA.

Bottle bought at Maine Beer & Beverage Co. in Portland, I never thought I would stumble upon that one here! Pours a very clear golden with a small white (or maybe eggshell) head that leaves good lacing. Nose is quite impressive with bright oranges, light cereals and resin. Taste is not an ounce too sweet with a moderately high bitterness. Pine, resin, oranges. Some light backing malt sweetness. Medium body, medium (a touch higher than that in fact) carbonation. Light alcohol in the finish. Not quite juicy. A really nice assertive IPA, the Alpine gang is another one to add to the "great hops" list!
