Alpine Duet IPA Bottle. BB Mar 2016. Pours hazy golden with dense off-white head. Nose is sticky resiny hops - light pine - somewhat muffled by the thick head. Flavor is rich and hearty for this style - nice generous maltiness, textured full grainy barley, grain bill creates a luxurious texture on the tongue. Begins lightly sweet with some floral notes and then passionfruit-like resiny hops take over, moves on to an agressively bitter finish that assaults the palate and lets you know you are really drinking something. Prickly hop bitterness and resin notes linger and entice for several minutes.

bottled - nice orange color. Great hop aroma. Decent hop flavor but could use a bit more sweetness to balance out the overwhelming amount of hops.

22 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy golden orange with a medium frothy white head that retains well and laces the glass.

The aroma is fruity piney hops with some resin and some caramel/crystal malt.

The flavor is sweet biscuity malt with resiny piney hops and some fruit. The mouthfeel is medium bodied and slightly watery.

Overall, a nice IPA. I remember it being better on tap.

The other beer shared with little Mac today. Amber pour with a baby finger of head. Dark, grassy aroma, tropical fruit, pine. Moderately bitter, dank hops, pine, slightly catty taste. Earthy, citrus zest and pine resin. Medium body.

22 oz bottle new to Cincinnati (I have had this before, but not rated). Pours a clear darker golden color with a medium plus sized inviting off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, resiny, dank, catty and earthy hops, a lightly toasted bready malt, mild caramel, some herbal notes as well, some bitterness, just a solid, drinkable IPA definitely worth revisiting.

Clear golden with a white, somewhat rocky head. Nose is fresh and fruity mostly on citrus and a mild dank sensation. The taste is full, medium bitterness light sweetness but mostly nuances of fresh hops. Ending mildly bitter with a round hoopy note. Light to medium body high drinkability.
