Pours a slightly clear golden yellow. Small head and little spotted lacing. Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, cocoa, vanilla, molasses, resinous and juicy hoppy. Tons of simcoe and ammarillo hops present. Taste is a juicy cherry hop bite, with vanilla and wood notes. Amazing beer.

Aroma is orange and other citrus. Low carbonation with a clear golden color. Taste is perfect with a great balance of hops and malt back. This one of the best IPA's I've ever tasted. Finish leaves you craving the next swallow. Craftsmanship at its finest. Tasted out of a bomber brought back from SD.

Floral and citrus aroma. Pours clear golden with a perfect head. This is a perfect IPA for every day. 7% ABV is strong but not too much to handle.

A blast of hops. Aromas of tangerine and lemongrass. Flavors of tropical fruits. Overall AWESOME!

This is an ipa that has layers of flavor!! Truly one of the best ipa’s I have ever had!!

Bottle: Poured a light amber color ale with a super large white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma consists of pure lupuline with floral notes of citrus and grapefruit. Taste is also dominated by some of the most delicate floral hops aromas I have encountered with fresh citrus notes. Malt base is dry and although discernable doesn’t take away any attention from the hops profile. Body is about average with good carbonation. Those guys are probably my favorite IPA brewers.

The big super Christmas tree forest type of pine,this is at perfect temp,some malt coming through,larger head then you see on most IPA’s clean hop dominated pine needle and grapefruit rind,lighter then some,maybe some caramel malt in the finish to prevent it from being ridiculously bitter,pure flavor of a good hop brew without being overbearing. The duet dances nicely together

UPDATED: OCT 8, 2011 When I cracked this bottle open there was an instant smack in the nose of huge grassy hops, smells amazing like I just mowed the lawn or something! Very clear dark orange color. The nose on this is just incredible. Flavors of honeydew melon and mandarin orange, slightly on the sweet side. Great beer.
Upgraded from 4 to 4.5 on Oct 8, 2011. Amazing beer, huge nose and a wonderfully clean finish.

On cask @ O’Brians in San Diego. This beer seemed meant for the cask. Rich and creamy with a solid hop flavor and gentle bitterness. There was just enough malt sweetness to balance the flavorful hops. I do not normally order the same beer twice, but in this case I felt obligated.

Amazing nose on this beer! Ripe tropical fruits with honey. Yum. Pours a honey golden to light amber, with generous white head. On the palate the hop focus is center stage, with no real need to mention malt presence. Nice piney and grapefruity hop flavors with a dry, chalky bitterness that goes nicely into the finish. Fine example of an IPA.
