4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 17/20
Pint at Star Bar. This is a ridiculously hoppy beer. Looks good with a very clear pale body and a tall white head. Huge, pungent, real hop aroma on this. It’s very citrusy with a bit of ammonia and dank herb. The palate is light and bone dry. This is a session IPA, guys. I guess the 5.2% is debatable. Very aggressive hop flavor in the flavor as well. This is bright and endlessly hoppy. These light bodied, hop bursted beers can be a little grassy and this is no exception. It makes it seem like basically eating hops. Commendable execution.

3.7 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at Chuck’s 85th. Pale ale my ass -- yeah, it’s pale in color, but they’re missing an "I" in front. Hop-driven aroma brings apricots, grapefruit, and pine. Dry and ridiculously bitter taste. Medium- body, avg. carbonation.

The dry hop hits you right at first sip. It’s quite a great achievement to dry hop and make a beer such as this. Not sure if this recipe has changed since the green flash merger but really fantastic pale. It’s really an ipa that is masking itself as a pale ale with lower abv.

On tap at Hops and Pie. Pour is clear golden orange with a big white head and sticky lacing. Piney, citrusy, light caramel, grassy, somewhat dank, orange peel, and bread in the aroma. Taste is orange peel, grapefruit, marmalade, weed, and lemongrass with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Solid offering.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap at Toronado Seattle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose is divine, with loads of piney and resinous hops, with some pot-like notes in there as well. Flavour is wonderful, with truckloads of piney and pot-like hops coating the palate. So much depth to this - it’s pushing it to call this a pale ale - definitely an IPA. Phenomenal stuff.
