In draught at Harry’s Hofbrau. Big grapefruit, citrus and floral hop with moderate earth. Clear golden-copper with white head that dissipates quickly. Resin, earth and pine aroma. High bitterness. Sweet soup cracker malt. Juicy fruit lingers long on the palate.

On draft. Big floral hop aroma. Huge hop forwardness, mostly sticky pine. Whiff of chocolatey malts gives way to a dry finish. Superb.

Tap at Capitol Beer in Sacramento, CA. Pours translucent golden amber with a white head. Aroma is near cat pee with some not citrus fruits. Med body. Flavor is citrus and other fruits. Lots of flavor. A lightly roast malt is detectable thru all the hop. Finishes nicely bitter, maybe with a touch of pineapple.

Tap at Enzo’s BBQ in Oceanside, CA. Pours a cloudy dark orange with a fluffywhite head. Aroma is all citrus... Orange, tangerines, Meyer lemon. RTaste is similar, but has a big bitter dry finish. Overall another really really good beer from Alpine Beer Company in east San Diego county.

Pours a nice medium orange. Fairly cloudy. Nice big white head. Lots of fine foam, which leaves a whole bunch of lacing behind. Aroma is orange, tangerine and pineapple. Lots of nice hop flavor bouncing around. I’m not getting any malt character, really. Smells like a nice clean yeast. A touch of mineral water flavor. Lots of hop flavor in the taste. Very dry. Just a hint of biscuity malt. Medium bitter. The dryness amps up that bitterness some in the finish and I’m getting some solid grapefruit pith and pine resin. Tasty stuff. Very refreshing. Not quite as bright as some hoppy pales/session IPAs. Mouthfeel is light. Prickly carbonation. Good hop bite.

Pours a bright medium orange with a one finger white head with decent lacing. Aroma is of citrus (grapefruit and orange), tropical fruit (mango and pineapple, dank hops, grassy/herbal hops, pine resin, and some light bready and sweet malts in the background. Taste is citrus, tropical fruits, pine, grass, herbal hops, bready malts, and some light sweet malts. Has a medium body with a creamy mouthfeel and a semi dry, moderately bitter, medium-long, crisp and refreshing finish. Overall, a amazing, world class beer, that is very hoppy and probably the pale brewed on the west coast and the best I’ve had to date.

Draft. Great hoppy session ale. Pretty much what you’d expect from Alpine. Fresh hops, medium body, smooth finish. I prefer their bigger IPAs but I could drink this all day every day.

On tap at Capitol Beer & Tap Room. Pours orange amber with a nice off-white head and a magnificent toffee and citrus aroma. There is a hearty pale malt flavor with a tasty citrus finish. Lots of flavor.

Hazy yellow orange in color... Aroma of rye malts, spice, citrus, hay... Flavor is light and crisp, initial citrus notes give way to light crisp finish, notes of spices, rye... Great pale ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
