The dry hop hits you right at first sip. Itís quite a great achievement to dry hop and make a beer such as this. Not sure if this recipe has changed since the green flash merger but really fantastic pale. Itís really an ipa that is masking itself as a pale ale with lower abv.

On tap at Hops and Pie. Pour is clear golden orange with a big white head and sticky lacing. Piney, citrusy, light caramel, grassy, somewhat dank, orange peel, and bread in the aroma. Taste is orange peel, grapefruit, marmalade, weed, and lemongrass with a medium bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Solid offering.

Copper. Grapefruit nose. Bitter grapefruit and pine on lingering finish. Good but not Alpine stellar.

mcberko (8525) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 31, 2015
On tap at Toronado Seattle, pours a clear copper with a small white head. Nose is divine, with loads of piney and resinous hops, with some pot-like notes in there as well. Flavour is wonderful, with truckloads of piney and pot-like hops coating the palate. So much depth to this - itís pushing it to call this a pale ale - definitely an IPA. Phenomenal stuff.

Really liked this one. Amazing depth of flavor for the low ABV. And, could easily be the first "hoppy APA" Iíve had that *doesnít* taste like an IPA (previously, I always thought -- whatís the point?). Itís hard to explain, but thereís hoppiness, but not as much bitterness, and the pine/citrus notes of an IPA are much lessened. Highly recommended.

Thick bubbled but thin head. Plenty of blanket lace on the glass. Cloudy dark amber color. Semi-earthy with floral hop aroma. Lots of biting pine and nearly astrigently dry malt. High carbonation but low richness. Chewy finish. Long lasting aftertaste of straight up bitterness.

Orange pour, medium white head. Aroma is citrus and big hop. Flavor is caramel, citrus, grass, grapefuit, and pine. Great smooth body.
