Tap@Bishops Arms (Gustav Adolfs), Malmö (09/07/2016) - medium hazy golden orange coloured pour with white head. Aroma and taste is a medley of tropical and citrus fruits, medium pale malts, some light caramel, grapefruit, peachy, lemon, refreshing, hoppy bitter finish.

Slight/medium aroma of malts, caramel, orange, pine, hops and citrus.

Hazy/turbid golden/amber beer with a slight/medium off-white head.

Starts medium sweet with malts, caramel, orange and pine; ends slightly bitter and dry with hops and citrus.

This beer is rather intense, complex and balanced. The aroma could have been intenser, but the flavour makes up for this. Nothing else to say really, just a decent IPA.

355ml bottle. Clear, orangey golden colour with average, frothy, fairly lasting, minimalyl lacing, white head. Citrusy hoppy aroma, notes of mandarine, orange, grapefruit, marmalade; mandarine is concentrated in such a way that it carries along hints of liquorice. Taste is bitter hoppy, citrusy, notes of mandarine, orange, marmalade; lasting, bitter, minimally chalky finish. Full hop kick, (style-compliant) minimally weak malty backbone.

5.25%ABV. Session IPA Poured out amber gold. 8ºSRM. Nose has aggressive fresh pine and fresh pine log aroma. Mouthfeel is light soap. Palate has some nice full-bodied lightly toasted malt flavor with white bread, graham cracker and light honey. Hops are grapefruit peel bitter and with a slightly citrus oily tang. Finish is medium long with a very pleasant grapefruit peel bitter finish.

Absolutely outstanding session IPA! Probably the best one on the market right now! I had two of these on draft at the Fairways pub in Limerick and could have had even more had the place not closed for the night. You wouldn’t be able to tell this apart from a full-on IPA. The hop flavor was huge, big and bold, like a "normal" IPA but without all the booze. The beer poured a dark straw color with an ample white head. The head left some nice, cascading lacing around the inside of the glass. The nose was floral, spicy, balanced and very inviting. As I mentioned, the flavors were absolutely delicious! There was just enough pale, caramel malt flavor to balance the insanely fruity, dry, spicy and floral hops. Incredible IPA!

(Alpine Beer Company Hoppy Birthday) Bottle 355 ml at home, served into a shaker, ABV 5.25% Deep orange golden colour on the body, clear, with a small and thin white head on top, low retention. Nice aroma of citrus, lots of grapefruit, fresh squeezed orange, grass, herbs, pine needles. Taste begins mildly sweet but ends up being sharply bitter, with citrus, grapefruit, more pine now, grass, some orange peel. Medium thin body, good carbonation. Very good.
