Pours a hazy copper orange with two finger head that leaves a few mins after pouring. Smell is of dank piney citrus hops. Taste is piney, citrusy/grapefruit hop blast. The finish is dry and crisp. The mouthfeel is light and dry. Overall the best session ipa I?ve had to date!

Growler shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael! The beer appears straw yellow and slightly hazy. The head is thick and white, displays lasting retention, and leaves ample lacing on the tulip glass. The aroma...wow. One of the best aromas in a pale ale I have ever experienced. This would give any IPA more than a run for its money. Fresh hops and a blast of varied citrus. The flavor is absolutely phenomenal. This is perhaps the most drinkable and enjoyable <6% beer I have had the pleasure to sample. Perfect? Ya, pretty much. My highest recommendation. UPDATED: JUL 2, 2014 Great tropical fruit flavors in this one, sweet melons dominate the palate and the bitterness is very mild for a beer with this much flavor and such a muted malt profile. Really, really good stuff.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2011 A fresh growler provided by Alex, drank from a Cigar City snifter... The body is a bright dark clear gold with a beautiful off-white head. The head rises a few fingers and settles with a nice cap, decent lacing. Crystal colors and contrast, looks great... The aroma is very sharp, at the most basic level its a mixture of catty/dank and sweet amarillo like hops. Other notes of pine and lemon, very good. Its sweet but dank... The taste isn’t as sweet as the nose, more of steady hops throughout, not super bitter though. Light grapefruit on the front. This is an apa that tastes like an ipa but drinks like an apa. Has to be one of the most flavorful drinkable 5% beers out there. The aroma is outstanding, well worth trying.

(Bottle) Pours light hazy golden with and large off-white head. The aroma holds boatloads of fresh, sweaty grapefruit up front with undertones of flowers, tropical fruit and pine. Malt brings white bread and toast. A fantastic, hop bright nose. A touch of phenols and dough in the background. The flavour is light sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Citrus, pine, light resin and light fruits. Light toasted white bread. The mouthfeel is clean and soft with light carbonation. Lingering medium to heavily bitter grapefruit finish. Light to medium bodied.

Growler. Pours a sexy orange with creamy white head that sticks to the glass. Subtle aroma of pine. Flavors of grapefruit and bubble gum. Super hoppy, like an IPA, but lighter in body. Finish is bitter, but I’m not. There?s a birthday party in my mouth.

Fresh growler shared by largadeer on BA. Pours clear copper with a great lacey white head. Looks incredible. Aroma is typical amazing Alpine: citrusy, floral, and herbal hops, as well as just a hint of sweet malt. Flavor is amazing for a pale ale (or really more of an IPA). Citrusy - tangerine and grapefruit - with an excellent tropical fruit note and some herbal qualities. Just a little sweet malt in the background. Medium-bodied with great hop resins. Overall, just incredible. This is what every pale ale should aspire to. I could session the hell out of this.

Growler. Big thanks to alex for sharing... Pours a golden cidery, mostly transparent hue with a thin to medium soapy white head quickly reducing to a thin flimsy film... Dank fresh potent hops upfront while simultaneously combining with tangerine, lemony, and a general citrusy profile. Somewhat sweet through the middle but overly so. Awesome... Flavors don’t sway too far from the nose which is completely fantastic. Dank, fresh and crisp with very assertive yet so drinkable. Carbonation and light to medium bodied. Wow this hits the spot in all aspects.

Draft at toronado. Clear golden light amber pour, with frothy white head and nice lacing. Aroma is saturated with dank pine hops, grapefruit, and tropical fruit. Similar flavor, super fresh, pine needles, mango, citrus, light caramel malt, grain, damn fresh. Might be the best pale ale I have tried, dry and hoppy. Delicious.

tap at the brewery-pours bright orange with a small soapy lovely crisp head. nose is out of this world-dank tropical notes dry hopped to high hell. WOW! these flavors...lots of hops with quite a bit of husky notes as well. dank fresh green hops. WOW lots of cookie sugar malt, but not too sweet. this has a little green onion on the finish, but it has lots of other hop flavors to not detract anything form the overall enjoyment of this beer. This shit is off the chain!!!! The dank notes of this beer are sick! THE Best APA I have EVER Had!!!!
