One of my fav places in SD for beer. This one. Is very hoppy floral in. Nature. The flavor has some mild malts. The hop flavor is mostly flora hops very bitter/smooth character if that makes sense.

Pours a hazy copper orange with two finger head that leaves a few mins after pouring. Smell is of dank piney citrus hops. Taste is piney, citrusy/grapefruit hop blast. The finish is dry and crisp. The mouthfeel is light and dry. Overall the best session ipa I?ve had to date!

Tap. Pours a golden orange, with a thick slightly yellow head. Aroma is tropical hops. Taste is tropical bitterness, and is exceptionally well balanced.

Growler shared by yourefragile. Thanks Michael! The beer appears straw yellow and slightly hazy. The head is thick and white, displays lasting retention, and leaves ample lacing on the tulip glass. The aroma...wow. One of the best aromas in a pale ale I have ever experienced. This would give any IPA more than a run for its money. Fresh hops and a blast of varied citrus. The flavor is absolutely phenomenal. This is perhaps the most drinkable and enjoyable <6% beer I have had the pleasure to sample. Perfect? Ya, pretty much. My highest recommendation. Tap @ Answer. Hazy dark golden with decent head and light lacing. Cat piss, some resin, some pith- nice full aroma. Flavor follows. Tongue scraper.

UPDATED: JUL 2, 2014 Great tropical fruit flavors in this one, sweet melons dominate the palate and the bitterness is very mild for a beer with this much flavor and such a muted malt profile. Really, really good stuff.

UPDATED: MAY 1, 2011 A fresh growler provided by Alex, drank from a Cigar City snifter... The body is a bright dark clear gold with a beautiful off-white head. The head rises a few fingers and settles with a nice cap, decent lacing. Crystal colors and contrast, looks great... The aroma is very sharp, at the most basic level its a mixture of catty/dank and sweet amarillo like hops. Other notes of pine and lemon, very good. Its sweet but dank... The taste isnít as sweet as the nose, more of steady hops throughout, not super bitter though. Light grapefruit on the front. This is an apa that tastes like an ipa but drinks like an apa. Has to be one of the most flavorful drinkable 5% beers out there. The aroma is outstanding, well worth trying.

(Bottle) Pours light hazy golden with and large off-white head. The aroma holds boatloads of fresh, sweaty grapefruit up front with undertones of flowers, tropical fruit and pine. Malt brings white bread and toast. A fantastic, hop bright nose. A touch of phenols and dough in the background. The flavour is light sweet, medium bitter and tiny acidic. Citrus, pine, light resin and light fruits. Light toasted white bread. The mouthfeel is clean and soft with light carbonation. Lingering medium to heavily bitter grapefruit finish. Light to medium bodied.

Growler. Pours a sexy orange with creamy white head that sticks to the glass. Subtle aroma of pine. Flavors of grapefruit and bubble gum. Super hoppy, like an IPA, but lighter in body. Finish is bitter, but Iím not. There?s a birthday party in my mouth.

Really liked this one. Amazing depth of flavor for the low ABV. And, could easily be the first "hoppy APA" Iíve had that *doesnít* taste like an IPA (previously, I always thought -- whatís the point?). Itís hard to explain, but thereís hoppiness, but not as much bitterness, and the pine/citrus notes of an IPA are much lessened. Highly recommended.
