COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Our annual holiday ale from Alpine Beer Company. A Bavarian Dunkelweizen was brewed as the base beer because of the flavor compliments it has with pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. We’ve used premium German malts and hops in keeping with style authenticity. Share this hauntingly delicious brew with a friend because two heads are better than one.

Bomber. Pours a hazy deep dark brown with a lively frothy head- fades a bit. Aroma is spicy, phenolic, clove, some nutmeg, mostly earthy tones, very light on esters, lots of strong caramel malts, some nutty chocolate and some harsh roast. Flavor is similar but the roastiness becomes more ashy and burnt and is a bit harsh- some chocolate, nuts, toffee, phenolicy spice, nutmeg, ginger and slight pumkin hints with a lively carbonated finish. Ok.

UPDATED: JAN 2, 2013 A: Pours just about black with a small mocha colored foam. S: There is only a slight pumpkin aroma, but lots of coffee and a mild spice character. T: The pumpkin taste is a bit more pronounced than the aroma. A malty, wheat bready quality and sweetness. There is a subtle spiciness and a hint of vanilla. M: There is moderate carbonation and a medium body. D: I was pretty disappointed at my mistake, especially because Dunkels are not really my thing. The pumpkin flavor was mild, and I would have liked more, but still a decent beer.

courtesy of pretzelcity. ’08 bottle Pours dark brown, whit beige head. Aroma of pumpkin and toffee, some roasted malts. Overall spices and pumpkin is wonderful. Flavor was a little weaker. Overall the beer could have been better with possibly a little higher abv. Plenty of pumpkin, cinnamon and nutmeg. Roasted malts, thin body with hints of gingerbread, finish is a little weak with hints of bitter hops.

Thanks IBrew2or3 for the share. Pours dark brown with a tan head. Nose is pumpkin, vinegar, malt, spice, and some vanilla and maybe chocolate. Flavor is water, vinegar, pumpkin, spice, malt, and cocoa. Interesting blend of flavors in this medium-bodied beer.

Bottle. Poured black with a creamy tan head. Aroma is great, lots of roasted malt, spice, and maybe a touch of pumpkin. Medium bodied with a thin mouth feel. By the aroma I was expecting a very flavorful beer, this was not the case. Flavor was roasted malt with extremely light notes of caramel, chocolate, clove, and cinnamon. Tasted quite watered down, flavor completely doesn’t match nose.

Pours a hazy brown. Nose is pumpkin spices, noble hops, and sweet biscuity malts. Flavor is semi lacking. Some dry cocoa, spices and mild toasted malt.

Dark brown with creamy tan head and lace. Choclate dirt with a hint of sour. Combination of thin chocolate and watery coffee. Must I say this beer is a bit thin and watery.

Dark brown with a frothy tan head. Tart dark wheat aroma with spicy peppercorn. Frothy smooth mouthfeel. Sour dough and wheat bready flavors with mild roasted nuts and a taste of chocolate. A little too much sour dough here.
