3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle... Pours clear and amber with a small, creamy, white head. Great retention. The aroma is a medley of white pepper, citrus and tropical fruits. Full-bodied with a velvety mouthfeel and jazzy carbonation. Trends bitter, but is mostly well-balanced and bursting-at-the-seams with the flavor of citrus peels. Crisp, moderately bitter, rindy finish. Bottle courtesy of the ever-generous ctipping!

Awesome beer, thank you GT2, lots of hops and overall not too strong for a double ipa

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
22oz bomber courtesy of oRos. It pours with a clear gold body that supports a light tan head. The aroma offers up some clementime and tangelo citrus hop notes as well as a faint bit of mango. Behind the fruitiness are modest dank onion hoppiness mixing with faint sweet malts. The taste begins with a pleasing mix of citrusy hoppy flavor, citrus hop bitterness and some spicy dank hops. There is a modest sweet maltiness in there as well to provide a nice backbone. It slides right into the finish maintaining the same flavor profile. Real nice IPA.

3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Bottle @ The Rose Bowl, courtesy tossed by GT. Clear orange pour with a nice white head. Fruit forward aromas of peach, mango, and grapefruit. A bit of sweet caramel and light pine. Pretty good. Flavor is surprisingly bright. Lots of mango and peach. Fairly sweet, though. Big time caramel and tropical fruit. A moderate bitterness on the finish. Some grapefruit, pine, and orange. Still pretty solid, but probably would have been better 6 months ago.

4.3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
Sampled multiple times, including on tap and bought six bombers to go. A really nice IPA that is loaded full of hops that at strong but also do not over power the tastes. A really nice brew that I will miss.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 15/20
Short: An unfresh, degenerate wale tick on my part that has surprisingly held up well
Origin: Trade Size: 651ml, 6oz sample Price: $15+ Date: 1/6/2014
Long: Great foam top on deeper orange pour. Great lacing. Nose is mild cheesy, kumquat, gamey overripe papaya and red mango. Taste is juicy, gamey tamarind, sweet and tart strawberry, somewhat juicy with spice and mango juice. Palate is soft, not too dusty, actually very easy to drink and given its quality at this age, I’ll dish out a 5 which isn’t too odd for an Alpine IPA. Thanks to oRos for hooking me up with this and keeping it fridged for so long.

4.2 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
In short: A golden IPA with the hopping cranked up to 12 (because “cranked up to 11” doesn’t do it justice). A superior bitterness extravaganza.
How: Bottle 22oz, consumed fresh soon after the beer release, bottle sent to me by mcberko, thanks a lot Matt.
The look: Clear golden-orange body topped by a persistent small white head leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: The in your face hoppy nose is freshly cut pine-tree, grapefruits, green pine needles, mangos. In mouth the body full but soft, velvety sensation with lots of tiny bubbles. There is a firm toasted biscuity malt backbone that I think I could appreciate by itself but this beer is a definitely a hop-bomb and after a few sips you can barely taste anything than the assertive hopping. Sharp and commanding take-no-prisoner bitterness of high intensity, very piney, dried fruit skin, pine needles, resinous undertones. There is as much aromatic hops in this bomb as there is bittering hops. Something sandy about the hops that leaves the mouth dry without saliva. Is it the abusive bitterness playing tricks on me or did I feel an alcohol bite in this 7% IPA?? A bit too aggressive to be a session beer but this is a great palate destroyer tailor made for hopheads bitterness lovers like me. One of best example of the more-is-better punch in the mouth American IPA. Those Americans sure are lucky to have so many great IPAs, but whenever I start feeling jealous of people living in the United States I simply remind myself of two simple words: "Country Music".

22oz Bottle. Thanks for sharing, Sean! Huge mosaic nose. Super papaya seed. Nicely tropical fresh flavor aroma. Clean, flinty forward flavor and then a little seedy. Fresh and dry. For a double IPA, it’s got a light clean body and a minerally finish. This is very good Double IPA. It’s not quite as bready and thick in the middle, but the hop flavor is intensely fruity and tropical.

4.4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 19/20
nice golden color with a sticky head. Smells citrus but very mellow clean aroma. You can really taste the balance in the malts and the different combination of hops. Very good.

Sampled at Denise’s party. Lots of fresh pine in this nicely balanced big ipa - smooth, floral, really good!
