Not my favorite style. I like orange citrus flavors but this one tastes somehow fake. More like juice. Too sweet.

Draught at the brewpub in Alpine. Clear golden beer with a nice lasting offwhite head. Malty honey aroma, oranges, vanilla, nectar, syrupy notes. Malty honey flavor, oranges, roasted notes, caramel, citrus, some grapes. A bit odd but reasonably drinkable.

Type: Draft Glass: Pint glass From: Alpine Beer Company in Alpine, Calif. Price: $4.50 Purchased: Jan. 5, 2014 Consumed: Jan. 5, 2014 Misc.: N/A Poured an orange, clear color with one finger of white head when I got it. Minimal lacing on the sides. Minimal retention on the top. Had to work for the smell initially. Got mandarin, nectarine, citrus, floral and orange rind. Tasted mandarin, nectarine, floral hops and citrus hops. Light-to-medium body. Thin texture. Soft carbonation. Abrupt finish. A pretty decent beer, but not great. I probably wouldn’t have it again and definitely wouldn’t if I was at Alpine Beer Company.

A: Orangish/Golden Straw Hue, Passes Some Light, Thin White Head Ring, Almost Zero Lacing S: Buckwheat Honey, Bready Malts T: Honey, Mildly Floral, Mild Orange M: Poor Carbonation, Mild to Medium Bodied, Mildly Drying Overall, if this beer had more of a hop presence, it might be worth buying...but not like it is currently.

On tap at Alpine, pours a clear pale golden with a small white head. Aroma brings out citrus zest, honey and floral notes. Flavour brings out similar notes, especially citrus zest and honey. Secondary notes of floral hops. Really well-balanced, fruity and refreshing. Good stuff.

Dogbrick (7973) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - OCT 13, 2013
Sample at the brewpub. The beer is a clear amber color with a medium fluffy white head that dissipates gradually to an outer ring. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrus, coriander and malt. Light to medium body with flavors of oranges, bready malt and yeast. The finish is mildly spicy with a zesty citrus aftertaste. Decent overall.

orange-y, with some honey notes throughout, a bit of dry grain like corn or rice, no real hop flavor to speak of. refreshing, one dimensional, and forgettable.

Bottle - Mandarine orange. Clear gold with a decent head. Mandarine hard candy, very slight bitterness and finishes with the candy. Not that sweet which is its saving grace, but still not to great.

A - pours dark lager ish. Light golden copper. No head and no lacing. S - malty malty. Simple sugars, white grape juice, sweet overripe citrus, light floral notes (citrus blossom), honey and coriander. M - light body, weakish palate. Bright carb, lightly hoppy end. A little watery. T - pretty much follows the nose. Malty front, white grape juice and soapy notes follow. The palate is light grasses and hay. Lingering Simple sugar . Mineral water throughout. O - simple drinkable yet slightly disappointing brew. 3.1 ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
