3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Aroma:This beer smells like mandarin oranges and sweet malt.
Appearance:Pale gold in color, lots of bubbles. Big white fluffy head with good retention.
Taste:Lots of citrus in the foretaste with some slight sour notes, although a little watery. The aftertaste fades to some faint spicy/peppery notes.
Palate:Light body, good carbonation, a little creamy.
Overall:This is a nice easy-drinking fruit beer that has good orange notes. Itís interesting, but I donít think I could drink a full bomber of this.

From the tap poured an amber color with a fair amount of head. Nice light malty flavor with a quick finish.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a pale orange with a nice head and a decent amount of lacing as it goes down. The smell is somewhat caramelized in the background, with some orange and a bit of sweetness up front. The taste is quite sweet, with a lot of orange and honey coming through. Fairly well-balanced, and another solid fruit offering from Alpine. Highly drinkable; nice and crisp.
Serving type: on-tap

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
UPDATED: NOV 29, 2010 Bottle. Poured into a pint glass. Very clean aroma with minimal fruit notes of orange. Light mouthfeel. The taste is very clean with some touches of fruit. Orange dominates the flavor over anything else with really no hop notes to speak of. Lightly sweet start and stays sweet the entire time. A very straight forward easy drinking beer. Not as fruity as I would like though for a fruit beer.

2.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
7/4/10 notes: on tap, PP SC. Couldnít get my head around this one, even though I only had 4 oz. Color is orange-gold, with a small head. Body is quite creamy and oddly buttery for what I expected, sort of like a heavier Belgian Strong Golden. Flavor and aroma are mild, touch of sweetness, maybe some candied orange. Confusing, with not much mandarine trace.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
22oz bottle pours a hazy, fiery orange with a thin, cloudy white head. Nose is sweet, herbal, floral, orange peel, bread dough. Flavor has dried English malts, a little orange, yeast, biscuits, crackers. Finish is dry, medium bodied. Reminded me of an English ale with spices.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap at Toronado SD. Poured a clear orange with excellent lace. Subdued nose, some floral hops, citrus peel. Taste is a bit soapy, perfumey hop oils, sweet orange juice and sweet honey coming though. Did not think this was a fruit beer as much a citrusy IPA. Yum.

Bomber. Pour is cloudy orange with ample fluffy white head. What aroma can be picked up through the pillowy foam is of orange zest. Taste is, like the nose, lightly of citrus at the outset, turning to semi-watery malt in the middle, before finishing with another citrusy-sweet kick. Thatís about it. Yummy. Feels more like a summer seasonal than a winter, but...whatever. Iím a bit indifferent about this beer.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
A: The pour is a remarkably clear light golden-orange color with a fluffy white head and some mild lacing.
S: The nose is not very robust. A touch of coriander spice, some mild orange aroma, and a little sweetness.
T: The honey comes through and gives the beer some sweetness and a bit of a floral flavor. A light citrusy taste but not much in the way of the coriander.
M: The body is medium, perhaps a bit slick and a surprisingly low carbonation.
D: I suppose I should have looked into this beer a bit more before I bought it, but this was one of the few disappointing Alpine beers Iíve had.
