3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Light orange body with thin white head. Aroma is citrus hop and orange. Solid fresh honey comb flavor like it was out of the bee box. Light orange cream balance. Smooth sticky palate. I really dig the honey in this one.

2.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
SMells like perfume or artificial strawberry. Light, fruity, sweet body and flavor. Body is a bit flat but smooth and cool. Not sure where they’re calling this mandarin from.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
651 ml. bottle. BBD 04 Aug 16. Pours a thin, poorly retained, off white head, over a very slightly hazy dark gold (SRM 6) body......nose is light citrus, with orange, tangerine notes, mild malts, minimal herbal hops.......taste is mildly sweet, with orange, lemon, hints of malts, finishing with mild herbal hop bitterness......mouth feel, light of medium body, no alcohol, moderate carbonation with light acid. This is a light, not particularly complex, uninteresting beer. It has no major flaws, other than being boring. I doubt that being 5 days too old is the entire explanation. The recipe could use substantial rework. BJCP 5/2/10/4/5

On tap at P&P Charleston. Hazy light orange with medium off-white head. Aroma is estery coriander, light body, medium carbonation, and some small-bubble lacing. Taste is estery, coriander, and a little orange. This is a wit.

3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Poured from a 22 OZ bomber into a pint glass. The appearance is a clear orange to golden color with a small white head. The aroma is sweet citrus. The taste is orange with some beer. A very sweet brew. An interesting take on the herb/spiced beer category.

Bomber, pours a clearish golden orange with a short lived white head. Aroma is orange, honey. Flavor is orange, honey, coriander. Finish is herbal. Lingering orange, lemon, honey. Medium body, sticky mouthfeel and average carbonation. A bit too sweet...

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle rating. Semi clear orange body with an ample white head which dissipates. Some orange peel in the nose, but it is more faint than expected. Flavor exhibits quite a bit of malt, namely in biscuit, some orange. Fairly easy to drink, but frankly, boring on the same hand.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Beautiful-looking beer. Pours a clear, copper-orange, with minimal head. Aroma has some grass, some coriander. Flavor is very smooth. Grassy, with some sweetness. The coriander is just barely noticeable.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Draft at Dutch’s, served in a pint glass. I was thrilled to see this, as Alpine stuff is now in Ohio and I’d only had about 6 of their beers, all hoppy and all awesome. This one poured a cloudy orange-gold with a small white head that settles into a ring. Notes of orange blossom honey, a heavy dose, with marmalade, coriander, orange zest, and caramel malts. Medium-bodied, with a jammy, fruity, sweet mouthfeel and moderate carbonation. It’s kind of a mess. Muddled and overly sweet, with the hops way in the background. I would’ve never guessed this was an Alpine beer. Surprising and disappointing.
