Our most versatile beer. Good to drink as well as cook with. Light enough to quench a thirst and complex enough to accompany fine dining. Carmel malty sweet fades to a chocolate roasty finish and dry from a touch of rye. 1.057 OG 13 IBU 6%ABV

draft at taste pf tops, incredible high drinkability here, very light caamel flavor, some lightly nuanced hops, this is more drinkable than water.....

Type: 22-oz. bottle Glass: Lagunitas mason jar From: Alpine Beer Company Pub in Alpine, Calif. Price: $4.99 Purchased: Dec. 28, 2014 Consumed: Jan. 2, 2015 Misc.: N/A Poured a red, auburn semi-clear color with 1-to-2 fingers of khaki-tan, frothy head. Good amount of bubbles coming up from the bottom of the glass. Above average sporadic foamy lacing on the sides of the glass. Average retention. (Sight - 3.88) Smelled caramel, chocolate, roasted nuts, toffee, faint coffee malts, dark cocoa, chocolate syrup and light copper. (Smell - 3.88) Tasted maybe even better than the nose. Very impressive for the style. Got chocolate, bitter roasted nuts, caramel, toffee, copper or another metallic malt, dry rye malts and faint coffee malts. (Taste - 3.88) Medium body. Oily texture. Average-to-lively carbonation. Nutty, bitter finish. (Feel - 3.75) This was a very good Irish Red and I’m not saying that just because I live in Alpine. Much better than I thought it would be. (Overall - 3.88) 3.87 87 B+

Bottle at Craig’s. It pours clear red-amber with a small off-white head. The nose is sweetish, brown bread, candy, boiled sweetness, pear, caramel and caramel. The taste is bitter-fruity, red fruity, toasty, caramel, mild citrus, alcohol warmth and jammy aspect with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Oily feel. Not a whole lot of depth, but decent enough.
