At their pub. Decent hoppiness, well malted. Not a bad one for an Irish red. Drinkable.

On tap at Alpine, pours a clear amber with a small off-white head. Aroma of stone fruits, earth and dry caramel malts. Flavour brings out red fruits, earthy notes, and some dry floral hops. Nice and dry, with a fruity, earthy body. Solid stuff.

Easy to drink, albeit forgettable Irish red. A weird sort of flat astringency at first too. Meh.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Sample at the brewpub. The beer pours a reddish-amber color with a medium foamy off-white head that recedes quickly to an outer ring. Small patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of malt, caramel and hops. Light to medium body with flavors of toasted malt, caramel and earthy hops. The finish is sweet with a short malty aftertaste. Slightly above average overall.

Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Light clear amber pour with a white head. The aroma is full of toffee, sugar and cherries. The flavor is toffee, sugar, caramel and nuttiness. I also get some circus peanut flavor. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

On draught at Alpine. Pours a clear deep copper to amber color with a tan head. Aroma is malts, bread and biscuit. Taste follows suit. Very smooth finish. Pretty good even though I don’t normally like the style.
