I used to think that flanders red had to melt my teeth but this is so well-balanced. A nice malty balance and I could drink this all day

Bottle from South Bay Drugs: Created a small a dense black tea colored liquid while there was a small development of foam head for a topping. My nose can detect that this will be a bit sour from the initial aroma, and that there is a bold presence of authentic Belgian yeast with dashes of spice. The flavor was sour and tart with an undertone of the Belgian yeast that gave off tastes of nutmeg or cinnamon and other spices too. The sourness is similar to squeezed lime juice and while the sourness is light, it doesn’t really taste as strong as other sour ales on the shelves. Not disappointed, but at the same time not exactly impressed.

Prickly body, tart funk. cherry and woody earthiness.

Thanks footbalm!! Nice brown, clear body with minimal head. Brown sugar aroma with a hint of sour. The body is lightly tart, with a nice mouith puckering finish.

Bottle at MN Gathering @ Skyview V. Light cola pour with a small white head. Big sour nose. Medium palate. Quite tart and sour taste with some grape. Good.

22oz bottle pours a transparent brown with some spitty white head. Nice tart aroma, lemons, grass. Flavor is sweet, tart, lemons, grapefruit, a little dried leaves. Medium bodied, tart finish. Refreshing without being acidic.

Aroma:The harsh wild yeast makes itself known. Mild raspberries and cherries.
Appearance:Red. Nice head that dissipates quickly. Medium lacing.
Taste:Great tart sourness that washes over your tongue and dissipates within one second. This quickly changes into a grassy tobacco and leather flavor. After the first few sips, the flavors become kind of watery and washed out, and not as impressive.
Palate:There are some subdued harsh wild yeast notes. Body is low to medium, carbonation is low to medium, but adequate.
Overall:This is an easy drinking beer with hints of sourness and complexity.
