An outstanding hop from New Zealand, Nelson Sauvin, is generously used throughout the brewing and dry-hopping of this unique beer. European rye is added for a smooth, malty addition to flavor. 1.065 OG 7%ABV

Bottle, courtesy of a saultbauls... shared in a location remote of my dining room.
Pours a nice pale straw color with a bit of haziness, a big head and good lacing on the glass.

The aroma is intensely melony with some dankness & some light spiciness. It’s got a light sweetness and a huge aromatic hop presence that is beyond inviting.

The flavor is lightly bitter with a touch of sweetness. It’s got a lot of melon forward hops. A nice lingering bitterness and a dry fininsh. Clean and super hop forward, this is simply conceived, well executed, single hop IPA at it’s best. Sheesh.

December 27, 2014 - bottle shared by Brett. Cloudy dark golden pour with some head and some lacing. Aroma of citrus/fruit, some pine and malt. Taste was consistent with aroma and nicely balanced. Finish was clean and this was easy to drink. Very well done.

From the tap at Toronado, San Francisco. Pours a hazy yellow with a thin white head. The nose is dank hops with lots of grapefruit and citrus aromas and some breadiness. In the mouth its grassy hops with lots of fresh breadiness, grapefruit flavors and a long pine bitterness. Great IPA with lots of dank hops.

Draft at the brewery. Pours hazy dull yellow gold with a fizzy white head. Tastes like resin, grapefruit, lemon, and musky dry pine hops. Light/medium body and low carbonation. Smells like grapefruit hops, musky orange, green pine, and a hint of caramel.

On draft. Aroma of orange juice and cat pee. Flavors are of juice: first blood orange, then grapefruit. Finishes with more sweet orange. Not much malt presence beyond a hint of bread-and-Nutella. Juicy and more juicy.

Fresh bottle. Pours opaque orange with white frothy head. Aroma is lemon, lime, grapefruit, pine sap. Taste is citrusy, bubbly, crisp, and excellent. The distinctive cat **%* essence from Nelson Sauvin is present and is great. Love the balance here. Remarkable.
