Bottled. A hazy golden beer with a huge off-white head. The aroma has notes of notes of citrusy hops, malt, and straw. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt, straw, citrus, and spices, leading to a bitter finsih. Thanks madsberg for sharing.

Bottle shared at the Kernel Brewery. Thanks to Mes and Sim for hauling back from California to share. Clear gold beer, little white head. Light dry palate. Sweetish malt background. Rich Nelson - the dirty kind! Grape, cats pee and a trace of blackcurrants. Paradoxically the beer has a clean and fresh feel with fresh minerals. Finishes with some citrus marmalade coming through and mildly bitter aftertaste. Nice beer - love the contrast of fresh feel and dirty Nelson!

Bottle from The Beer Junction, Seattle; bb 16 Jun 2016
This is Nelson Sauvin juice, very pungent aroma, citrusy flavor; tropical, passion fruit, cat piss; a bit resiny in the finish; and because those guys at Alpine know their business, the body is dry, the malt flavor is very delicate, a bit crackery, so to not cover the hop.

Bottle. Pours clear gold with a mild, filmy white head. Heavy grapefruit aroma with sweet caramel as well. Flavor has a nice, sweet character, but the hops take control with hard-driving citrus bitterness. Hints of tofee and earth. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Finishes very bitter with some spice notes. Great IPA.
