4.4 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 17/20
The aroma in this beer makes me want to drink through my nose, amazing rye and citrus hop going on, there is some vinous character too, Nelson sauvin may be the most up and coming hop. I forgot abiut appearance, pale orange with a miniscule white head. Flavor has some rye, vinous white wine, citrus, just enough bitterness to balance the slightly sweet malt body. Finish has some rye bite then just hangs out on my palate being awesome. I love this beer almost as much as I love the neighbor bringing fresh baked cookies over to my wife and I (but telling us beardface may have none). yum to both.

3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
Cloudy orange with light golden lacing. Aroma of citrus with some serious rotten funk (in a good way) flavor is delicious hoppy crispness that is soon overtaken by barnyard/citrus/rye. Very interesting and complex. Enjoyable.

Very cloudy orange. Great piny smells. Smooth bitter that fades and cleans up very fast. Lasting bitter but malty smooth.

Taste is bitter and fruity with whole grain crackers, grapefruit juice, gooseberries, freshly cut grass, pine needles, grape skins, pineapple juice, unripe mango, lychee and lemon zest. Mouthfeel is dry, slightly astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter and fruity with whole grain crackers, grapefruit juice, pineapple juice, pine needles, freshly cut grass, gooseberries, grape skins and lemon zest. Possibly the perfect Nelson IPA.

4.1 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Murky orange in colour with a small white head, light lacing. The aroma is very tropical, pineapple, some pine. The flavour is filled with tropical hops, citrus and a bit of pine. Bitter mouthfeel, medium body, moderate carbonation. Finishes long and hoppy. A very, very good IPA, so hoppy yet has very good balance.
Opened March 5, 2010.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
On tap at the brewpub in Alpine.
Appearance: Hazy pale yellow with a durable white colored head that leaves a temporary coating on the glass.
Aroma: Hops, with hints of pineapple, grapefruit, starfruit and other tropical notes.
Flavor: Fruity, slightly tart, and only moderately bitter at its peak. Moderate complexity. The hop flavor builds over time but nevers becomes harsh or overbearing
Feel: Light-medium body with near medium carbonation.
O: a distinctive IPA. Recommended.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draft at Hopwater Distribution in San Francisco, California. The pour is hazy golden orange with a smallish off white head. Head falls slowly, with nice lacing. The aroma is big citrus tropical hop upfront, opening up to soft fruit and a general dank resin. Engaging nose. The taste is big and fresh, hop is the focus with tropical fruit, citrus brightness and a general pear peach fruitiness. The dank and resin carry the finish, and are more evident as the beer warmed. The palate is medium bodied, soft carbonation and the dry resin finish. Tasty IPA.
