COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Another single IPA with a lighter slant. A slightly elevated malt profile and a higher mash temp leaves more sweetness to balance the hop bitterness against. Several different popular hop varieties are used while boiling and dry-hopping. 1.059 OG 60IBU 6%ABV

On tap at Johnny Brown’s in SD, CA--Funky armpit nose with a copper amber body. Creamy, funky dank hoppiness. Quite hoppy. Not too bad.

On tap at O’briens. Pours with an orange-amber body topped by a medium, off-white head with some lacing. It’s slightly sweet yet bitter and hoppy with a piney note and notes of grass and hay, as well as an underlying rye note. Medium bodied and smooth.

Draught Very good head, collapsing; darker orange-amber. Unbelievable C-hops concentration; some caramel-covered cookies. Bit cheesy hops chosen. Sweet taste! With, no mistake, a lot of hoppy flavours, but NO bitterness. Litte burning sensation, well carbonated; medium body. VERY good IPA, with excellent balance, despite the hops overload

Draft @ O’Briens. Poured a clear amber color with a small off-white head. Hop forward aroma but not too crazy. Pine, citrus and sweaty notes. The flavor was malty and piny. Some earthy notes as well. Mild bitter finish with a light to medium body.

On draft at O’Brien’s Pub during their anniversary week barrel aged night, shared with Goldtwins, DarkElf, Wetherl, and others. I’ve seen this a number of times around town lately, but the first time gets the rating. Poured deep golden without much head. Floral hop aroma. flavor had a nice hop biterness, both floral and citrusy. smooth and crisp finish.

Pours a golden orange hue with a hint of red and a small slight off white head. Aromas are light. Very light. The beer was served very cold and even as it warmed the aromas still weren’t present. Flavors of diacytel, banana with a light hop bitterness. I will have to try it again as I may have had a bad batch as I know that Tom and Pat are awesome brewers.

tap at Stone Bistro - You know, I don’t think they indicate which Alpine IPA they have on tap (O’Brien’s or Bad Boy), but this one appears to be the latest one making it’s way around the San Diego area, so I’ll go with it. It pours copper with a nice, lingering white head. There are citrus and flower notes in the hop heavy aroma. The taste of light caramel malts are balanced well with the assertive hops bitterness. Medium bodied and certainly enjoyable, this IPA is well done.

On tap at the new Liars club. I’ve been looking forward to trying this to increase my number of Alpine ratings. Very, very flowery hoppy aroma. Great arom. Mild hop bitterness. Clear amber color. Frothy cask-like microfoam head. Relatively easy to drink.
