COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Bottle from Bridgend Service Station, Freuchie. Pours clear. Light amber. Decent wee head with staying power. Great lacing. Aroma has lots of juicy marmalade and citrus. Matched well with resinous pine. A little floral. Some pineapple and over-ripe mango. The nose hides the alcohol well. Taste is sweet with jammy notes. Bit of brown sugar. Banana bread malt. Well played sweetness without being overwhelming. Bitterness comes through quickly but is well-balanced. Citrus flavours with grapefruit and some orange pithiness. Bittersweet finish with some dryness that plays this out well. Fairly restrained carbonation. Slick, oily mouthfeel with medium-weight. No heat from the alcohol in the tasting either. This is a very (dangerously) easy to drink DIPA with excellent balance.

Taster at the Alpine Brewing company pub. I can’t sense much aroma because it’s a taster and ai did not get a full glass. Golden clear color. Taste is grassy, citrus bitter hops, grapefruit, good maltiness. Well balanced. Boozy. A nice imperial IPA.

Visual: Pours deep copper orange with a small but lasting foamy head, sticky lacing, lots of steady clustered streams.

Nose: peachy-grapefruity citrus hop oils. (lvl-6)-pungency - (optimal at cellar temp)

Attack: crisp, thick and smooth mouthfeel

Mid-palate: tangerine hop oils, (lvl-4-sweetness), toffee’d barley malt, subdued zingy alcohol

Finish: big-rounded orange citrusy hopped bitterness, dry grassiness, clean finish

Summary: Seemingly simple yet it’s because it is so balanced. What surprised me was how superbly sippable this was - the hops linger just long enough, without being overly harsh at any point. Very nice.

Flaska ölrepubliken, Göteborg. Smågrumlig orange vätska. Maltig doft med mycket barr, torkad frukt och druva. Kratfull smak med citrus, barr, hö och spannmål. Fin efterbeska.

On tap at Green Flash brewpub. A clear straw-golden with a resilient white head. Aroma is grapefruit, lemon, melon, cantaloupe. Flavor is lemon, lime. Finish is resin, grapefruit, some conifer. Lingering hop flavor, some bitterness. Medium to full body, slightly flat, weak carbonation.

12 oz bottle. Pours amber with moderate head. Aromas of doughy malts and spicy, piney hops. Flavors of caramel, muted tropical, rubber, and resin/pine. Bitter piney finish. May be a little old but still quite nice

Dimmig orange öl med ett smutsvitt skum. Doft av karamell, fruktighet och tallbarr. I smaken tillkommer grapefrukt och kåda i eftersmaken. Bra balans mellan sötma och beska.

Strong dry-hopped aroma of pine, spice and some citrus. It hits all marks, honestly. Not so bitter that it masks other flavors. Some earthiness and a mild sweetness. Decent color and weight.

Bottle from Rehills, Newcastle. Hazy, bright golden coloured with a thin white head of foam. It has a very rich orange marmalade and pine flavour with smooth toffee notes and more warming orange on the finish. Superb!
