COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
A West Coast Double IPA So mega-hopped it will take you to hop heaven. We’ve used hops in the boil, more hops in the giant hopback, and added to that, an incredible amount of dry-hopping for that cutting-edge “hop bite.” Once you’ve tasted this unique beer, all others pale in comparison. 1.072 OG Classified IBU 8%ABV

Poured from a 22oz bottle into a Dogfish Head Stemmed glass. The color is a hazy dark orange with two fingers of foamy white head and some nice lacing left on the glass. The smell is pretty piney and smells a bit like wet hops. Some nice citrus flavor is the background that is quite lemony in flavor and is a bit pithy. The taste is bitter citrus hop flavor at first. There is a soft embrace of piney flavors with the hops in front and a nice malty flavor that finishes this beer off in the back. There is some interesting hits of sugary flavor that is a bit too sweet but overall the taste is really good. The feel of this beet is medium bodied with some strong hop flavor that is strong but easy to handle. It goes down well and is just the right mix for a West Coast IPA.

35cl bottle. Pours a hazy orange, with a tall white head with decent retention. Smells dank and salty, like lemon zest, grapefruit, mango, some perfumey roses and pine. Tastes of pine hops, citrus, caramel, some funky dankness and just a bit of mango.

På flarra Biskoppen Malmö. Ljus rätt klar jävel. Doftar mycket fräscht högklassigt blommigt å lite ladugård. Ja åhviss sötma likt Green flash Dipor. Massor frukt. Smaken då??. Likt doften massor med frukter å blommor. Äpple lite vindruvor å apelsin framträder. Lagom beska medel till fyllig Dipa jävligt balanserad med perfekt mängd kolsyra. Jippi

Alpine has finally come to St. Louis with no fanfare; it just showed up on our shelves one day. The aroma is fresh piney hops with a sweet malty background that is reminiscent of Juicy Fruit gum. Appearance is a see through amber color with tiny bubbles rising to the top and an off white cap of foam. Definitely a 5. The taste starts with a burst of citrus hops that only let a slight amount of sweetness come forward. Good strong hoppy aftertaste. The mouthfeel is a little light and the carbonation is a bit high, but that works for this beer and makes it more refreshing. This is a very good west coast style IPA. I want to try more from Alpine.
