hopscotch (4477), Vero Beach, Florida, USA Aug 15, 2008 Draft… RBSG’08… Clear straw-colored ale with a small, creamy, white head. Sort of a raspberry extract aroma with hints of vanilla and grain. Light-bodied with a lightly creamy mouthfeel and fizzy carbonation. Extremely well-balanced, but thin. Fruity and grainy; light sweetness and light bitterness. Crisp, fruity, mildly bitter finish. Refreshing. padrefan98 (600), (San Diego) Santee, California, USA May 25, 2008 On tap at the brewery. Lots of rasberry in the smell. A lot less in the taste. Overall not a bad fruit beer. cbkschubert (1573), Skyline, Arizona, USA Apr 2, 2008 Tap @ the brewery - Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a thin white head. Aroma and flavor is like Willy with the addition of raspberries. Light to medium body. It’s actually pretty easy to drink. A good beer to share with friends. deftim13 (103), California, USA Mar 13, 2008 Sampled at brewery.
Light gold with tiny head. Smell is wheat, light fruity tones and raspberry. Raspberry flavoring taste generic. reminds me of a cheap ice cream topping. Nice malt backbone. Lively carbonation. Glad to try but could not do more then a taster. bikesandbeers (419), San Diego, California, USA Feb 7, 2008 Sampled on tap at the brewery, whi8le picking up a growler of nelson. Pour lightly yellow with a whithe head and lots of carbonation. smell like and american wheat with a hint of fruit flavor. tasted like an american wheat with raqsberry added. This was ok, but i think the rasberry actual takes away from the wheat. Give me Willy of Mandarian Nectar anyday.
