Since “Willy” is so versatile and can be flavored with fruits and essences, we add a touch of vanilla extract to compliment the sweet nuttiness. Also good mixed with Captain Stout, a blend we call “The Captain and Vanil.”

Bottle from Beer and Wine. Hazy light orange body with fast-receding, slight head. Nose is citrus, faint, and vanilla for sure. Taste is very subtle of hops, and floral at first then the vanilla kicks in proper into a chalky finish. Pretty good.

Tastes and smells like cream soda...moderately sweet and vanilla dominated aroma and taste.

Bottle at Bishops Cave. Lots of vanilla but with a hint of citrus to perk it up. Surprisingly delicious. Lightly hoppy bitterness.

From the 12 fl. oz. bottle. It pours a near headless but foggy yellow color. Vanilla is potent in the aroma with an otherwise citrus and lemon-like hoppiness. Light body. The taste is too much vanilla for my liking. It would work better in a vanilla stout than in this one. Clean finish though.

12 ounce bottle into pint glass, best before 12/24/2016. Pours fairly hazy/cloudy golden yellow color with a 1-2 finger fairly dense and fluffy white head with solid retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Good appearance. Aromas of vanilla, wheat, cracker, and biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, apple, banana, clove, and yeast earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance of vanilla, bready malt, and light fruity/spicy yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big vanilla, wheat, cracker, and biscuit; with lighter notes of lemon, apple, banana, clove, and yeast earthiness. Light bitterness/yeast spiciness on the finish; with lingering notes of vanilla, wheat, cracker, biscuit, light banana/clove, and yeast earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Very nice robustness and balance of vanilla, bready malt, and light fruity/spicy yeast flavors; with a great malt/bitter/spiciness balance, and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and light-medium body; with a very smooth and moderately creamy/grainy mouthfeel that is nice. Zero warming alcohol as expected of 5.5%. Overall this is a very good pale wheat ale. All around good robustness and balance of vanilla, bready malt, and light fruity/spicy yeast flavors; very smooth and refreshing to drink. A very enjoyable offering.

A faint vanilla aroma, pours a clear pale Amber color with a thin white head. A weak grainy taste, slightly sweet. Watery feel with a short lasting grain finish.

This draft brew from a beer bar poured a medium sized head of foamy finely sized white colored bubbles that were mostly lasting and left behind a very softly carbonated transparent weak yellow colored body and a fair lacing. The weak aroma was vanilla. The crisp mouth feel was tingly at the start and at the finish with a lingering spicy aftertaste. The mild flavor contained notes of wheat and spices. A decent one that I would consider drinking again.

Bottle. Pours a golden color with white head. Vanilla, sweet cereal, malted milk aromas. Vanilla, cream soda, marshmallow, cereal flavors. One of the better vanilla beers I’ve had lately.

bottle at AA. Nose is vanilla, wheat, candy. Hazy pale gold with lace. Thin, sweet, and fake vanilla candy tasting. This is gross.

Aromas of buttered toast and some oxidization. Vanilla is also buttery and present throughout the palate of the beer. Drying but also coats the palate as the vanilla lingers.
