Draft @ Alpine. Pours a slight hazey gold with slight head. Taste is almost exactly like cream soda. Very refreshing and light. Crisp finish.

Draft at Alpine with Andrew, Brendan and the big boy daddy dad Bachelor, Dallas. Had this directly after the Willy and you can see that the brewer nailed it on the head when it came to accentuating the pure vanilla character of the wheat ale. Still a bit too watery, but tasted almost like a vanilla cream soda.

On tap at the brewery with the bros for dallas’ bachelor party. The vanilla adds a lot to this... Went from an ok ale to a delicious perfect summer session ale. Tastes like cream soda.

Pours yellow with a white head. The aroma is vanilla and bread. Kind of like vanilla wafers. The flavor is the same. Very light, and kind of sweet. Little to no hop flavor. This is an easy drinker with the vanilla character strong but not overpowering.

From the tap poured a straw color with a fair amount of head. Flavor and aroma were of vanilla with a lingering aftertaste.

Sample at Alpine Brewery: Aroma is wheat with a little vanilla. Flavor starts with a little citrus followed by fairly strong vanilla and subtle seltzer like spicy bitter finish. Light body is thin with lively carbonation.
3.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 arondee (447) - Phoenix, Arizona, USA - MAR 23, 2011
Pours a nice yellow color with a medium white head. It smells almost exactly like a Vanilla cream soda. The taste for me was a bit of a let down. They took their wheat beer and added vanilla extract to it. It’s actually a pretty good idea but unfortunately the wheat beer was disappointing. After the initial vanilla taste wears off the wheat beer comes through and it was a little skunky. Good idea, could have been executed a little better.

On tap at brewery today. This is much better than the Willy plain. It adds some depth and complexity missing from the original.

Hazy yellow color. The vanilla and doughy aroma meld to form the smell of rum. I am not a rum fan so I was instantly turned off. The wheat flavors stand through the vanilla flavorings. It’s a cheap trick to spruce up a boring beer. If I had a drain I would have poured it. On a positive note 2 of the 3 girls with me loved it.

Draft at the brewpub. Hazy golden pour, white head. Strongly vanilla, with of bread malt in the background. It does remember me a bit of cream soda.
