Tried a sample at the brewery, while picking up some growlers. Nice mild vanilla aroma Pale yellow color. Small mixed bubble head. Used to be made with real vanilla beans, but vanilla consistency changed, so now they use a high quality vanilla extract. Great vanilla aroma. Light body and color. I think it’s their ale with vanilla.

3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Via Growler shared with my pal liz who picked this up at the Brewery. Pours straw with a thin white head. Nose is wheaty with a little bit of vanilla on the edge. The taste is pretty crisp and light, overall pretty much a wheat beer with something extra. The vanilla definetly adds some smoothness and something extra in the taste. Not amazing but decent.

A vanilla flavored version of the willy. Pretty interesting flavor...I think they have several of these willy flavored brews. Not exactly my cup of tea - but still not bad.

On Tap @ brewery. Clear golden color with bright white head. The vanilla jumps out at you in the aroma. The vanilla in the flavor mixes with the sweet malts to create a none beer cream soda taste. This brew was constructed to appease the none beer dinking crowd.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Growler fill from Alpine Beer Co. Pours a decent head, a pretty clear golden yellow. Not too much vanilla aroma, but the vanilla comes through very nicely in the taste. Light, easy drinking. The whole growler goes down in one sitting.

on tap at Alpine BC - Pours a slightly hazy light golden color with a small white head. Has a nice light sweet vanilla aroma and flavor. An interesting twist on thier wheat beer. Light to medium body. Very easy drinking. Good beer for the ladies. Or at least for my wife. She brought a growler home.

Sampled at the brewery. I got way too much vanilla from this. The taste reminded me of Captain Crunch which I actually like but don’t want to drink. Little else noticeable.

Again, like the Willy, rather ho-hum, but with a moderate touch of vanilla. Does not help in my opinion. Seems a little like those horrible candy corns at Halloween. These guys really excell at highly hopped beers, but this is not one of them.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught at the brewery. Same appearance as willy but completely transformed in aroma and flavor. The vanilla is noticable on its own but blends with the other flavors to create a whole new profile. I thought the beer tasted a lot like cream soda though still had a maltiness that let you know you were drinking beer. Very well done and enjoyable.
