1.6 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 Oakes (10941) - Savusavu, FIJI ISLANDS - NOV 21, 2000
UPDATED: SEP 24, 2008 Golden with a sparkle. Cooked cabbage aroma with lots of grains. Somewhat crisp with moderate bitterness for a macrobrew. Slightly grassy hop note late, and relatively dry for a Moosehead product. That said, still bland and too much DMS.
2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20 Lubiere (8243) - Ottawa, Ontario, CANADA - FEB 2, 2007
A yellowish lager with a thick white head. A lightly sulfury corn adjunct aroma. In mouth, well, a reasonable quenching lager, with a light biscuitty malt. Innoffensive. Can from Moncton, from Probstk.

A mainstream lager with a wee bit of a flavour boost. Definitely a step up in the macro department. Returned home to PEI last summer and when the tap list was lacking, this was what I was drinking.

UPDATED: OCT 2, 2003 Watery texture, no originality at all if not for the more hoppy and interesting taste than average standard lagers

Can. Another middle-of-the-road pale lager. I don’t hate these, but I’m beginning to hate rating them. It’s hard to come up with different things to say about the same monochromatic style of beer.
