2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
A yellowish lager with a thick white head. A lightly sulfury corn adjunct aroma. In mouth, well, a reasonable quenching lager, with a light biscuitty malt. Innoffensive. Can from Moncton, from Probstk.

Bottle. Drank this with a bunch of Canadian transplants to New Hampshire. Better than some macro lagers...not by much.

Aroma is one of beer’s most complex features. Aroma is propelled by lively CO2 and dampened by pillowy heads - especially nitrogen foam. Click on a term below to add it to your tasting notes.

3.5 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
This stuff is all over the place in Saint John, NB. Brewed locally by Moosehead Breweries, this is certainly the dominant brand in the area and for a good reason. Great macro style lager- golden in color, light body and taste- making this a very drinkable lager for those long days doing yardwork, etc.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
355ml can pours a pale straw color with a small white head that leaves no lacing behind. Aromas and tastes of typical macro swill. Not recommended and not desirable.

2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
255ml can. Straw coloured, clear. Big with head with a rocky top. A few random lace spots. Nose is quite grainy. Taste is grainy, a bit metallic. A hint of grass-like hop with a faint tinny bitterness and a bit of residual sweetness in the finish. Light body, carbonation is not as rough as I was expecting, has a pretty smooth mouthfeel. Swillable swill.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 2/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Was expecting worse. Initial bite, almost a pilsner like quality. Light taste, easy drinker. When it warmed up a little, the corn juice aromas dominated. Not worst macro lager you’ll find around.

2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
473ml can. Clear and crisp. Taste is corn, straw and some caramel, but overall it is better than that sounds. Goes down easy, like a macro brew should.

2.7 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
Originally rated August 2009. Not available in Ontario and Quebec (where it is easy for me to get beer - living between those two provinces), I had to try this one in New-Brunswick (where it is brewed). Nice to go on tour with the band, and to go to that province once again. Pours a pale yellow colour (like a light beer ??) with lots of carbonation, a big white foamy head that has decent retention and lots of lacing. The nose is pretty malty with a little sweetness. The malt seems lighter in the taste, with a little hop in the middle, mild apple in the finish and some corn in the aftertaste. Not much sweetness, maybe a touch in the start. Lots of lace left on the glass, way after drinking it. I remember not liking this beer many years back when I had it in N.B. but now, I do not mind it (for swill). Nothing really special, but goes down easy when playing music there in a bar.
