Very good seasonal beer, no bitterness and a great aftertaste that's just right for fall.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Draught at Collective on Tap, Woodinville, WA
Hazy light amber color with compact head. The aroma is a bit doughy, the mouthfeel is expectedly soft and round, with light residual sweetness; the flavor is lightly bready, with timid malt, and low hopping; indeed quite similar to most German examples, which is not necessary good. Plain, almost boring.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Draft at the sunset. Pours a slightly hazy medium amber with a gorgeous and creamy off white head. Loose drippy lace. Pretty brown bread, floral, and brown sugar nose. Crwamy medium body with lively carb. Brown bread, brown sugar, floral notes on the mid palate, with a lightly toasty finish. Pretty nice beer.

Pint @ 74th St. Ale House. Tastes OK I suppose. Rather thin and not really much to it. Paled in comparison to the Snoqualmie Oktoberfest I had right after this. Golden color with very little aroma. My beer needs more body!

At the Enumclaw Oktoberfest 2009. Of all the Oktoberfest beers at the festival, this was the best. Just like the commercial description. Isn’t fall a great time for beer!

Biscuit malt mixes nicely with moderate caramel and brown sugar. More than your-average-Oktoberfest’s hop finish, but still on with the style. Very solid and enjoyable.

Bomber. Pours clear copper with a thick and lacy pale orange head. Aroma of biscuit, brown sugar and malt; you know the stuff inside malted milk balls? That’s it. Medium body and carbonation. Lightly sweet taste of bread, caramel, filberts. Fairly crisp and just vaguely hoppy finish. I can see why it wouldn’t be too hard to sit around in lederhosen, and watch barmaids showing a ton of cleavage while you pound a bunch of this beer. Damn. I finished the bomber while writing this. I guess I need to learn to type faster.

@GCBF-on tap-pours a thin white head and copper color. Aroma is medium malt-fruit. Taste is medium malt-caramel, fruit, secondary hops bite. OK carbonation. Liked less as it went along.
