COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
The golden color of this Weizen-Bock, our spring seasonal indicates a full-bodied beer with a velvety smooth taste which accentuates its malty character. This delicate flavor is in harmony with the fruity, estery, banana-clove flavor one expects from Weizenbeers fermented with an original Bavarian yeast strain. Imported aroma hops provide a delicate, subdued balance to the natural sweetness of the malts

Deep hazy straw body. Thick, chewy wheat malt backbone with fruit sweetness accents. Banana and clove with some random spice hints.

This was really wheaty and bready in the forefront. Loads of spice, and not overly sweet but something is missing from the body. Still has very enjoyable taste characteristics.

Very cloudy golden brown color. Cloudy to the point of looking off. Spicy banana clove nose. Sweet clovey, malty mouth. Excellent backbone. Clovey banana finish. Low carbonation. Full bodied. Bock body, but liitle in character.

GCBF sample. Cloudy dark yellow. Fair head. Light banana nose. Thick malty body seems to thin as you drink. Alcohol start. Banana finish.

(Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 8th, 2007. Peppery banana aroma. Pure banana flavour but little malt counterbalance and too lightly hopped. Pretty bad for this style.

Foggy amber, thin white head. Aroma is fairly fruity, pineapple esters, almost like a citrus, bubble gum. Taste is bubblegum, fruity, lightly hoppy, lightly alcoholic.

On tap at Amore restaurant, Seattle. Great banana clove arom, wheaty and very sweet. Light fruity hops. Very aromatic. Cloudy butterscotch amber with no head. Medium heavy body with medium carbonation. Starts sweet with wheaty chewiness, banana esters, light clove, and light brown sugar. Although it’s bit too sugary, this is really well balanced and full flavored. Good stuff.
