A deep dark cloudy brew with a thin creamy head. This was a deep wheat brew with a lot of wheat and dark grains used. Liked the underlying yeasts that they used. Very sweet in the flavor and at the end it as like bananas and very refreshing. Interesting beer.
BlackDonald (1040), North Carolina, USA Jul 1, 2008 This was really wheaty and bready in the forefront. Loads of spice, and not overly sweet but something is missing from the body. Still has very enjoyable taste characteristics. jcwattsrugger (3862), Florida and, New Jersey, USA Oct 27, 2007 @GCBF-on tap-pours a thick creamy off white head and cloudy brown/yellow color. Aroma is clove, secondary banana, wheat. Taste is clove, banana, wheat/malt-sweet. TimE (1019), Tokyo, Japan Sep 27, 2007 Very cloudy golden brown color. Cloudy to the point of looking off. Spicy banana clove nose. Sweet clovey, malty mouth. Excellent backbone. Clovey banana finish. Low carbonation. Full bodied. Bock body, but liitle in character. presario (2397), Calgary, Alberta, Canada Sep 13, 2007 GCBF sample. Cloudy dark yellow. Fair head. Light banana nose. Thick malty body seems to thin as you drink. Alcohol start. Banana finish. CapFlu (3273), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Sep 11, 2007 (Draught) Sampled at the Great Canadian Beer Festival 2007 in Victoria on September 8th, 2007. Peppery banana aroma. Pure banana flavour but little malt counterbalance and too lightly hopped. Pretty bad for this style.
