The head dies very quickly making this quite a still beer, to the detriment of the palate. Fruity smell, with some spicy hops apparent )nutmeg, fruitcake, large grassy component). Quite golden in color, medium depth. Flavor has light to moderate bitterness and moderate sweetness, with ripe fruit flavors (peachy) and an iron kind of mineral hardness/flatness. Good, but with a few quirks. Thanks for the hand-delivered bottle, Quack-Duck!

Bottle, danke Roman. Light veggie and wheat. Not entirely well worked out. Needs a few tens of years.

Bottled. A yellow beer with a white head. The aroma has notes of malt. The flavor is sweet with notes of malt and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.

From a bottle at GBF 2011. Clear deep golden, medium white head. Sugary and nutty malt aroma with herbal hops. Medium bodied, soft carbonation. Semi sweet, medium bitterness.

Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): Deep golden to copper coloured, some floaties visible, stable creamy off-white head, rich fruity and caramelly: dried fruits, toasted malt, some wood and a good dash of hops; solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; lingering herbal-hoppy and nutty-caramelly finish. Well balanced and moreish "German Triple"......

The color is blond golden, with a medium sized head, not much retention. The aroma is mild, malty and a bit woody. The body is strong enough; there is some malt flavor, with moderate sweetness and correct bitterness; moderate grass and hay touch as well. Balanced and flawless, a decent Belgian Ale, but too pricey for that.

(bottle, 75cl, courtesy of Quack-Duck) Hazy, golden to amber colour with a medium-sized and slightly off-white foamy head. Mildly sweet cara-malty and slightly nutty aroma with traces of alcohol and a distinctively present herbal and woody hoppy touch. Sweet and rounded bitter flavour, medium to full bodied with a well-carbonation. Balanced malty and caramelly, also slightly nutty taste with a present hops profile; sweet-bitter cara-malty finish with a balanced herbal and woody hop-character and traces of warming alcohol. A very good Tripel/Belgian Strong Ale. Underrated. 08.VII.11

Mild herber Antrunk mit steigenden Hefenoten auf niedrigem Niveau. Wenig Zitrus und nussige Malznoten sind im Mittelteil vorhanden, auch hier ist die Wässrigkeit aber allgegenwärtig. Die Herbe wirkt dumpf und kann nur langsam an Würzigkeit zulegen. Auch im deutlich intensiveren Abgang ist das Bier noch wässrig, hier abereingekesselt von fruchtig-hefigen Malznoten. Ein durchaus nettes Bier, das den Preis aber nicht rechtfertigt, vor allem nicht Vergleichsobjekten des Bierstils. 10/8/9/11/12/9

Bottle. Tasted blind @ yespr. Pours a clear golden color with a small white head. Has a fruity malty grainy aroma with weak hoppy hints. Sweetish malty fruity flavor with hints of caramel and weak hints of yeast. Has a sweetish malty fruity caramel finish with weak hoppy hints in the aftertaste.
