bottle, bought in Freudenstadt. Clear brown colour with a mid-sized off-white head. Malty nose. Medium-bodied, malty with caramel and chocolate.

Clear orange brown coloured with a medium sized beige head. Malty aroma of hay. Sweet and malty flavour of caramel, bread and dried fruits with notes of hops and liquorice. Hoppy finish

Bottle 50cl. Dark brown brew with white head and malty nose. Nice mouthfeel, grainy. Good, drinkable beer.

Draft @ Berlin beer festival 2011. Brune claire, col beige. Arôme est malte et grillé avec une belle note de torréfaction. Palais est sec avec un très beau profile de malt grillé le tout se mélangeant avec un houblon qui laisse en bouche une fine amertume citronnée qui ajoute un peu de complexité.

Draught. Low fluffy and quickly disappearing off-white head. Clear dark red brown body. Mild roasted malt caramel cocoa aroma and flavor. Pretty sweet. Short aftertaste.

On tap @brewery Hopfenfest. A dark-brown beer with good creamy head. Nose is on caramel and brown bread. Body is sweet with nice caramel and cereal notes, malt side is nice. Quite classic dunkel but properly done.

500 ml bottle in Germany. Something about the beers from this brewery that just not do it for me. Pours a dark chestnut color with tan head. Aroma nuts, coco, and sweet malts. Taste is better with some coco and malt with some smoke as well. Palate is mellow as well. Not bad.

500ml bottle In the glass pours a dark brown beer with reddish tinge. The smell is revealed subtle roasty and caramel malt. The beginning part is heavily roasted malt, pleasantly bitter. In the aftertaste the beer is too roasty and bitter for quite a track. Comes almost close to a Schwarzbier. The center part is well hopped, with a nice tarty finish.

Bevuta in loco nella Schwarzwald, a me è piaciuta, bel colore con discreta schiuma, aroma e gusto maltato leggermente tostato. Potabile.

Bottled 50cl. Courtesy of Quack-Duck. Beautiful clear nut brown. Pleasant nutty component in the taste. Decent bitterness. Medium bodied and very drinkable. Dry nutty finish. I enjoyed this beer. Thanks a lot Quack-Duck!
