pivnizub (7225) - Bochum, Porúří, - MAY 31, 2008
Bottle (Besten Dank an den Bodensee !): Clear, deep golden, quickly vanishing big fluffy head with a very firm lace; clean, pale-malty to honeyish/nutty nose, backed by some aromatic (tettnang?) hops; moderate to solid sweet-bitter flavour, medium bodied; slightly alcoholic sweet-malty finish, accompanied by a distinctive bitterness in the very end. Very good, but not excellent Bock............

Clear golden with a tiny white head. Aroma had malt, caramel, and hints of fruits. Sweet malty flavour that came out boozy.

Bottle 50cl. Clear filtered Heller Bock. Starts malty with expressive hops, getting quickly dull and unexciting. Quaffable but meaningless. Disappointing for this famous brewery.

Bottle 50 cl. Dark golden with a small white head. Sweet malty aroma with some lemonade and hoppy sence. Starts with a light bitter taste and turns more sweet malty with a fruity end.

Draught. Low fluffy quickly disappearing white head. Clear yellow golden boay. Mild weak malty aroma. Heavily carbonated malty grassy flavor with a fair amount of hops bitterness. Short aftertaste.

Bottle at Löwen Poste, Alpirsbach
Blond color, it’s just a bit darker and a bit hazy, with a generous head. There is some malt aroma, strangely with a light cheesy touch, like a British ale; also, some hop. Good body strength; there is a sweetish malt flavor, and also a fruity trace that connects back to the Ale. The final is a bit boozy. I would not say that it’s excellent, but at least interesting.

Koelschtrinker (7034) - Köln (Cologne), North Rhine-Westphalia, GERMANY - JUN 3, 2011
Trinkbar. Danke an Erzengel für das Bier! 10/8/8/8/6/8

Bottle 50cl. A clear pale-amber beer with good head and medium carbonation. Nose is on barley sugar, lager yeast and grassy hops. Aroma is very sweet and caramel like, a nice honey / resin / caramel malt body, very interesting near to the Ambrosinus one. Finish is bitter with a light sourish note, toasted malt too, I like the floral / grassy parume that goes well with a strong caramel beer.

Bottle 500ml.

Clear medium yellow color with a average, frothy to fizzy, good - fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to white head. Aroma is moderate malty, toasted, sweet malt, bock alike aroma, light sugar an alcohol, light to moderate hoppy. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration, green grass. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20110312]
