bottled. sounded like an exciting idea but the end product is neither one thing nor the other - somewhere between brown and copper, minimal head; doughy aroma; light grassy hop character bt surprisingly bland in the end

Draught at Löwen Poste, Alpirsbach
Clean amber color. Strong aroma of cereals and wet cereals. Soft mouthfeel (there is some residual sweetness and the carbonation is low), with a boring caramel flavor, and a rather ow bitterness level. Unimpressive.

JoeinEscazú (1324) - San Jose, COSTA RICA - JUN 21, 2009
Half-liter glass on draught at Delirium in Brussels. Dark chestnut brown beer with off-white bubbles and sticky lace. Bit of a sweetish toffee, tootsie-roll nose, but pretty mild. Taste is fair caramel-malty sweetness rounded with a clean, crisp reasonable bitterness. Attractive, well balanced, highly drinkable.

Pours a dark reddish brown color. Aromas of roasted malts, bits of chocolate and coffee. Flavor has a nice bitter roast taste and a touch of hops on the finish.

A Mes rate: 50cl bottle at Quinns. Extremely run of the mill. Way too much iron filings in there. Dark amber colour, thick white head. Usual German cereal notes. Erm... yup, that’s it.

Aroma of german hops and caramel malts. Clear, brown coloured with a lasting, medium, off-white head. Taste is quite sweet, carbonated and metallic. Caramel malts, some fruity tones. Slightly dry finish. Not too great.

Ungstrup (26216) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - SEP 23, 2006
An amber beer with a collapsing brown head. The aroma is sweet with strong notes of berries and caramel. The flavor is sweet again with strong notes of berries, and lesser notes of caramel and malt, leading to a bitter end.
