2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 6/20 McTapps (1478) - Ruhrgebiet, - JAN 27, 2013Well, the same bottle like MichaelBruch but didn’t find this beer that awful. Milky amber-brown in colour with low head. Taste of bitter nuts, green grains, burnt caramel and rich yeast. Not a nice Dunkelweizen but okay-like.

Bottle shared with McTapps. It is hard to describe how awful this one "tastes". Imagine licking my feet after a long and hot summer day. Well, this beer is worse. Did nit finish it. Palate is below zero. Disgusting skunk stuff.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 Papsoe (25131) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - OCT 16, 2010
Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a hazy dark amber with an off-white head. Sweet banana aroma. Medium body, banana notes with a tart edge. Ends dry - surprisingly dry for a Hefe. 161010
3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20 JorisPPattyn (7305) - Antwerpen, BELGIUM - APR 7, 2007
Very high, lightly brown tinted head, fine & dense, leaving lace over dark amber beer with an orange shine. Very aromatic nose, with a mix of some garden herbs, exotic fruit, olives but also the aroma of a rest of wine in an opened, forgotten bottle with some specific mould. Olives’ aroma gets stronger, mixing with cloves; the sourish, spoiled wine nose probably partly the wheat, partly the dark malts. In the taste, both banana and cloves, but the olives’ brine is still there, very markedly. Wheat, slightly sourish, bit berrylike flavour. Medium bodied, wheat slickness, not really dry. Despite some unusual aromas and flavours, it’s not really a very good Dunkelweizen. OK if you stumble over it, not one to go searching.

Bottle Cloudy brown, big foamy off-white head. Bready wheat aroma.
Rather thin bready base, a bit fruit6 sweetness (banana, hint of pineapple). Nothing special.
