bottle from Heinrichs 3000 Super-Getränkemarkt Kornwestheim. Deep brown, almost black, with a very creamy beige-brown head. Looks good. Quite light-bodied and with a stout-like dryness. Lots of dark malts and roasetd flavours, hints of coffee. Very low sweetness. Smooth palate. A good Schwarzbier.

Look; beige huge head and near black body with red brown edge. Aroma; roasted malts, dark caramel, dusty hops, dark brown chocolate, plums. Taste; brown malts, fruity roasted malts, grassy caramel, apple hops, plums, dark brown chocolate. Finishes into chocolate malts, not longlasting. Feels easy, very fruity. Overall next to schwarzbier this dunkel. Hyperdunkel! [50cl brown bottle 4.8%abv BB08-05-2016 T@Ferie2015]

Cunningham (6052) - Halden, NORWAY - MAY 1, 2015
Clear deep dark nutty color with a fine tan head that leaves a fine lacing on the glass. Caramel malty, toffee, mild roasted and a bit fruity aroma. Medium body. Ok balance between sweetness and bitterness. Average carbonation. Toffee, dark malt, caramel malty, mild roasted and mild fruity flavor. Decent nice dunkel.

bartlebier (2820) - Belchium im Biersgau, GERMANY - JAN 9, 2015
50cl bottle bb8/2015, Bamberg Edeka. (Hergestellt und abgefüllt von Braumanufactur Alt-Bamberg). Watery translucent brown-red pour. Diluted bread and metallics in aroma, not opening up much in taste: brown bread, very slight toast, earthy woods and nuttiness, generic caramel, some sulphur. Lacks expression, drinkable enough.

Beerenberger (1581) - Fischer, Texas, USA - OCT 11, 2014
Purchase in Bamberg & enjoyed on the Danube. Soft sweet malt aroma with hints of citrus. A deep dark brown hued pour with a rapidly dissipating tan head and abundent lacing. The palate is malt forward. Roasted malts, toffee, and citrus notes. Pleasing. Medium body and medium carbonation. Overall, while the taste is not lingering, it is very tasty while it lasts. Would drink again.
