bottle from a bamberg getraenkemarkt. dull golden with a shortlived head; frothy texture; dull aroma of cardboard and old leaves; light tinny bitterness, nothing kellerbierish about it, just that it’s a bit unclean

Half litre bottle, poured into handled Alt Bamberg handed mug. A: Pale amber, hazy, medium head, moderate retention, plus a few floaters. S: Cork with real farmyard style aroma, lots of hay. T: Very bready, notes of wheat and slightly sour fruits. M: Minimal carbonation, smooth, slightly thick texture. O: Nothing overly memorable but a fairly solid offering.
