Batch 96.

Appearance: Pours an effectively clear, light gold body with a slim, whitish head.

Smell: The nose presents little more than a scent of sweetish pale malted barley backed by a bit of grain husks.

Taste: Sweet, subtly biscuity malts, a bit sugary, even. It’s just a tad husky. Faintly herbal hops with a low bitterness that doesn’t quite balance it out, leaving a soft, simple, sweetish finish to the beer.

Mouthfeel: Medium-light body. Medium-light carbonation.

Overall: An altogether uncomplicated golden ale, though I’d prefer it a bit drier and more effervescent.

Draft from taproom. Pours golden with a thin white head. Doesn’t leave much lacing. Not much on the nose. Kind of dry on the tongue. Maybe a slight biscuit thing as well. Finishes clean. Just beer flavored beer here.

From a sampler at the brewery. Golden brown, with a thin white head. Smells bready, toasty. Taste is toasty, with hints of rye and grassy hops. Not bad..

Draft at the brewery. Pours golden-amber clear into the glass, with a wispy diminishing head that leaves soapy lacing. The nose has some earth and vegetal notes. Flavored are similar, with grain, malt and a lengthened bitter to finish. Nice balance, and substantive mouthfeel, but an active and lively palate. Decent. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Brewvival Trip Beer 13. Draft at the brewery. Pours a clear dark amber color with a frothy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of toasted grain, corn, herbal hops. The taste is sweet malts, corn, grassy hops. Medium bodied.
